This list has been updated to include more of the game's best Suit Mods, and what players can expect from them.

17 Combat Analyzer

Increases XP From Defeating Enemies

One of the first suit mods that players should use is Combat Analyzer. At level 5, and for 3 Crime Tokens and 1 Landmark Tokens, players can obtain a great beginner suit mod. What makes this so great for early users is that it increases the XP gained from defeating enemies.

Gaining levels and XP is important for an early game experience, because with each level, players unlock something new. That can include a new Spider-Man outfit, more suit mods, or upgrade levels. It benefits the player to level up quickly.

16 Metabolic Converter

Generate Gadget Refills When Taking Damage

The Metabolic Converter suit mod works both ways. For it to work, players need to take a hit. This makes this Spider-Man suit mod seem rather inefficient, but it can be pretty good in some aspects. If players aren’t the best at dodging attacks, then the Metabolic Converter will help them keep enemies back or even defeated thanks to its ability.

This mod allows Spider-Man a chance to generate gadget refills if he takes damage, and can be unlocked at Level 25. With a purchase of only 3 Research Tokens, the Metabolic Converter suit mod will have Spider-Man never running out of web fluid.

15 Life Support

Consumes a Focus Bar to Heal When Low On Health

Life Support is unlocked at level 35, meaning that it could be quite the way away for new players. Life Support also needs 3 Challenge Tokens and 3 Research Tokens to be used, but these are rather easy to obtain as the activities also reward XP.

This suit mod automatically consumes a Focus bar to heal the player when they are low on health. This is a lifesaver suit mod, as players may not be focused on their health during one of the epic fights in the game. With this suit mod, they won’t need that worry.

14 Bio Mesh

Absorb Damage Without Resetting the Combo Counter

With a requirement of 6 Crime Tokens and 2 Landmark Tokens, the Bio Mesh suit mod can be used after getting to level 35. It’s an important suit mod for those players who enjoy a great combo. Players will be able to absorb some incoming damage without resetting the combo counter.

A combo is more than just a satisfying number on the screen that tests the skills of individual players. A combo builds the player’s Focus bar, which allows for special moves, as well as the ability to heal during combat. Bio Mesh ensures that players will be given another chance to resume their combo.

13 Bio Scanner

Scanned Enemies Remain Highlighted Until Start Of Combat

This stealth suit mod takes 1 Base Token and 3 Research Tokens to use, as long as the player has reached level 15. What makes Bio Scanner so effective is the fact that scanned enemies will remain highlighted until combat begins.

The benefits of Bio Scanner mean that stealth is far more effective. There are many stealth segments in Marvel’s Spider-Man, and with Bio Scanner, players will never accidentally run into an enemy, as they will stay scanned.

12 Ballistic Inserts

Reduce Damage From Bullets

Spider-Man's best suit mods include those that serve to protect Spider-Man. Ballistic Inserts do just that and will reduce the incoming bullet damage that Spider-Man will take. It requires Spider-Man to reach Level 5 and needs 1 Base Token and 3 Crime Tokens. It’s fairly effective for the early game, as it will help players who make mistakes while dodging.

It’s a decent defense suit mod that will allow Spider-Man to absorb more damage. Everyone makes mistakes in video games, even if that means having enemies unload bullets into Spider-Man. Players will have more leeway with this suit mod.

11 Discharge Power Cells

Perfect Dodge Temporarily Increases Damage

Perfect Dodging is a skill that players need to perfect, especially if they wish to win against tough foes like the Taskmaster. Those who pull off this move with ease can use the Discharge Power Cells suit mod to make their skills more beneficial in the heat of battle.

With this mod, players will love going on the offensive, dodging multiple attacks, and whooping enemies in no time flat. Pairing this mod with other damage-boosting skills and mods can potentially two-shot weak enemies.

10 Kinetic Power Cells

Focus Charges Faster

Focus is one of the best tools in Spider-Man's arsenal. Charging up this bar lets players unleash finishers or heal themselves, both of which are imperative to mastering the combat.

Any mod that improves the rate at which Focus generates would be welcome, and the Kinetic Power Cells are useful in this regard. Players will become masters of combat as they wallop enemies to kingdom come, and barely give them time to breathe as they unleash numerous finishers in a flash.

9 Charged Outer Mesh

Suit Gets Charged with Electricity at Regular Intervals

Electricity is incredibly useful in combat. Shocking enemies gives Peter some time to breathe as he picks and chooses his targets. The Charged Outer Mesh lets players enjoy the benefit of this attack, letting the suit charge up electricity at regular intervals.

It's always amusing to see enemies think that they finally landed a hit on the webcrawler, only to be zapped and stunned. This amusing sight is well worth its weight in tokens, even if gathering 6 Crime Tokens isn't all that challenging.

8 Full Charge Capacitors

Increases Damage When Health Is Over 100

As an offense suit mod, Full Charge Capacitors are used after level 20, with 2 Base Tokens and 4 Crime Tokens. Full Charge Capacitors increase the damage of the player when their health is above 100.

When players level up, they will gain more health, capping past 100 HP. Full Charge Capacitors at an early level will be good for players who can use their spider senses correctly and avoid damage. Or, with more levels, there is more leeway due to the extra health.

7 First Aid

Increases Effectiveness Of Healing

For First Aid, players need 2 Landmark Tokens and 1 Research Token, and must spend them after level 15. First Aid increases the amount of health players receive when using Focus to heal.

When players are injured, it can cost them the game and require them to restart from a checkpoint. Some battles may be overwhelming, but with First Aid, they won’t always feel that way. An increased amount of healing from Focus is a great benefit.

6 Proximity Sensor

Reveals Nearby Secret Photo Locations On The Minimap

At level 50, players can unlock the Proximity Sensor. It’s rather unfortunate that it’s such a high level, as, by this point, most players will have found a lot of collectibles, or have completed the story and may not be interested in collected items. However, with 3 Landmark Tokens, and 6 Research Tokens, the Proximity Sensor is obtainable.

With Proximity Sensor, players will have secret photo locations on the minimap revealed. These secret locations are key to some great easter eggs in Marvel’s Spider-Man, as well as a few fun moments.

5 Blast Plates

Reduces Blast And Rocket Damage

One of the best Spider-Man suit mods is Blast Plates, for its added protection against grenades, rocket launchers, and other explosive damage elements. As players progress through the game, they will soon find that enemies become faster, hit harder, and outnumber Spider-Man. Yet, in classic Spidey fashion, this will not deter the quipping web-slinger.

Players will be able to use Blast Plates at Level 30 with 6 Challenge Tokens and 6 Crime Tokens. Although Level 30 may be some time away, if players utilize XP efficiently, they will reach Level 30 in no time, around the same time that criminals get access to rocket launchers.

4 Webbed Striker

Web Attacks Generate More Focus

Thanks to Webbed Striker, not only will melee attacks and dodges be useful, but so will web attacks, as web attacks will generate more Focus. Focus is a mechanic in Marvel’s Spider-Man. It allows players to build a gauge through melee attacks and dodges so that they can spend the Focus bar on healing or Finisher moves.

At level 10, and for 4 Crime Tokens and 1 Research Token, Webbed Striker will be in the hands of the player. Using Web attacks and melee strikes will provide players with further efficiency in combat, especially when it keeps their Focus meter full.

3 Gel Padding

Reduce Melee Damage

Reaching Level 4 unlocks Gel Padding. This suit mod costs 1 Backpack Token and 3 Crime Tokens. Both activities are easy to complete at such an early level, which makes for a great suit mod at basically the beginning of the game.

Gel Padding is a defensive suit mod that reduces incoming melee damage. Most enemies will resort to trying to hit Spider-Man with weapons and fists, and if spider senses fail, then Gel Padding can assist them.

2 Stormbolt Discharger

Build Up Electrical Charge In The Air And Unleash It On The Ground

If players want Spider-Man's best suit mods, look no further than Stormbolt Discharger. This suit mod requires some sense of skill, as players will need to fight opponents in the air for effectiveness. Fighting opponents with air attacks will build up an electrical charge, which can be dispersed after attacking enemies on the ground.

It gives players more damage and stuns enemies. Unlocking at Level 45, the second to last unlock on this list, and requires 6 Crime Tokens and 4 Research Tokens. It’s a great weapon for a great superhero.

1 Threat Sensors

Slow Time After A Perfect Dodge

At level 20, players will be able to unlock Threat Sensors, as long as they have 1 Base Token and 2 Research Tokens. This suit mod makes it so that time slows after a Perfect Dodge, a great skill for many players.

Slowing time makes it so that the player has more time to react, and benefits them for honing their skills when it comes to spider-sense. A Perfect Dodge and Threat Sensors will allow players to be as fast as Spider-Man acts and thinks.
