Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 may not be coming out this year, but with how much fans have been discussing it, one would think that the game is right around the corner. One of the most common Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 topics is suit requests, and one fan recently had an interesting suggestion for the sequel.
There have been many suit requests in recent months, so much so that a Marvel’s Spider-Man suit meme started to spread. However, alongside all the jokes about the costume demands came some genuinely good suggestions. From Arachknight and Superior Spider-Man to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie costume, there is a lot fans are hoping to see in the next game. Now, one fan has suggested a very special costume for Miles Morales.
The suggestion in question comes from Reddit user senjulegos, who wants to see Miles Morales’ costume from the upcoming animated film Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse adapted. This suit is very similar to his Into The Spider-Verse attire, though it does have a clear difference. Under Miles’ arms and going down his side are some red lines, adding a bit more color to the costume. These lines are present on the wall-crawler's legs as well, and they are similar to the ones seen on his original comic suit. The spray-painted symbol is still present, ensuring that the outfit is familiar, though it is different enough that it could be worth including.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales’ Into The Spider-Verse suit was one of the most popular costumes in the game, as it went above and beyond in a few ways. Not only did it boast a cel shaded look that set it apart from the game’s other outfits, but players could get some unique effects when using it. If a suit ability and visor mod were equipped, players could experience the movie’s choppy animation while also seeing stylish comic book text bubbles appear during combat. These touches made gameplay with the suit unique, and it would be worth bringing back in the sequel.
Perhaps the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse costume could replace the Into The Spider-Verse suit, and if it does, hopefully the lower frame rate and comic book text are brought back as suit abilities. Insomniac Games could even try adapting a new animation style with this costume, making it look and move just like it does in the trailer scene that senjulegos screenshotted. With over 900 upvotes, there is clearly fan interest in this costume, so hopefully it makes the cut.
With the Symbiote suit likely to appear in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the game will surely satisfy fans when it comes to its costumes no matter what. Still, it would be nice to see something pulled from Across The Spider-Verse, as many are excited for the film.
