With fans knowing so little about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in terms of its story and gameplay, it is not too surprising that suit requests make up a fair bit of discussion regarding the sequel. Recently, another Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 suit request has been made, and it would see a recent Peter Parker look featured in the sequel.
While it would be nice to see more Miles Morales suits being requested by fans, Peter Parker costumes are usually the focus of suit request posts. To be fair, this is understandable, as Peter has an incredibly long legacy full of stylish looks for fans to choose from. Whether it be Arachknight or The Amazing Spider-Man 2 suit, fans are always sharing ideas for potential Peter costumes. The latest look would be particularly flashy, though it might actually make more sense for Miles despite initially being worn by his mentor.
With Miles Morales comics only beginning in 2011, the hero has existed for just over a decade. As a result, Insomniac Games added just about every comic book suit he ever had to his spin-off title, with the developer needing to create some of its own costumes on top of that just to give him a deep lineup. Miles simply needs more suits, and while Insomniac could always continue to create its own looks for the character, repurposing a very Miles-like Peter Parker costume could work well. According to Reddit user EastKoreaOfficial, Peter’s Hellfire Gala could fit the bill.
Initially, the Redditor thought this was a Miles Morales costume, and it is easy to see why. The incredibly high-tech suit boasts Miles’ signature red and black color scheme, with some unique patterns on the hands and feet that resemble his Programmable Matter costume. While the glowing eyes are neat, the star of the show is the massive red spider placed on the arm, with the legs spanning the rest of the body. With fans used to the spider being centered on the hero’s chest, this instantly gives the Hellfire Gala suit a distinct look.
For those unfamiliar with the Hellfire Gala, it is essentially a superhero party where Marvel’s characters don some flashy looks and come together to celebrate Mutant history. Seeing Spider-Man in an outfit meant for a party is interesting, and the backstory combining with the uniqueness of the suit would make it a fine addition to the upcoming Insomniac Games title. However, considering that this Redditor and the official Marvel website confused this Peter Parker costume for a Miles Morales suit, it may fit the young wallcrawler’s collection best.
With Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 not coming until 2023, fans have plenty of time to keep requesting suits like this one. Whether it ends up in Peter’s lineup or Miles’ collection, the Hellfire Gala outfit is a great suggestion.
