Marvel’s Midnight Suns has finally unveiled its post-launch DLC plans with a Season Pass. The base game already boasts customization and personalization in a number of ways, with a huge roster and different means of befriending each Marvel character. The Season Pass extends this potential with four post-launch DLC characters that are not available otherwise, adding more characters to Marvel’s Midnight Suns’ roster. Of course, it is completely up to fans which edition they decide to purchase and for what reasons, but there are huge incentives for buying the Season Pass.

The Season Pass is available in Marvel’s Midnight Suns’ Legendary Edition, offering the most customization options of any edition. Each edition of the game includes a small bundle of cosmetic skins, though the Legendary Edition includes 23. There is no greater way for fans to demonstrate their adoration of Marvel’s Midnight Suns than through the Legendary Edition and its Season Pass, which has many exciting goodies for players. If nothing else, fans may consider buying the Season Pass if they think that they would like any of its post-launch DLC characters.

The Season Pass includes four DLC packs that will each bring a new playable character to Marvel’s Midnight Suns:

  • Deadpool
  • Venom
  • Morbius
  • Storm

Deadpool, Venom, Morbius, and Storm are listed in that order, suggesting their release order as individual DLC packs in Marvel’s Midnight Suns. Deadpool teased each of these characters’ involvement in the game, and fans now have early looks at concept art for how each of them will look. It is unknown at this time how long it will be between the release of each DLC pack, but in the meantime Season Pass purchasers can enjoy a plethora of Premium Skins available at launch of the base game.

Each character will receive two additional skins besides the Hunter, though it seems that Doctor Strange’s second additional skin, dubbed Defenders, is provided as Marvel’s Midnight Suns’ pre-order bonus instead. The Season Pass Premium Skins are included at launch as follows:

  • Captain America (Future Soldier)
  • Captain America (Captain of the Guard)
  • Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell)
  • Captain Marvel (Medieval Marvel)
  • Magik (Phoenix Five)
  • Magik (New Mutants)
  • Nico Minoru (Sister Grimm)
  • Nico Minoru (Shadow Witch)
  • Wolverine (X-Force)
  • Wolverine (Logan)
  • Blade (Demon Hunter)
  • Blade (Blade 1602)
  • Iron Man (Iron Knight)
  • Iron Man (Bleeding Edge)
  • Ghost Rider (Spirit of Vengeance)
  • Ghost Rider (Death Knight)
  • Doctor Strange (Future Supreme)
  • Scarlet Witch (Boss Witch)
  • Scarlet Witch (Fallen Scarlet Witch)
  • Spider-Man (Symbiote Suit)
  • Spider-Man (Demon Spider)
  • Additional Skin for Unannounced Hero

This catalog confirms that Marvel’s Midnight Suns’ final unlockable character will also have Premium Skins. However, the DLC characters are released after launch and therefore do not have associable Premium Skins included in the Season Pass. The Hunter is an original character, and thus it makes sense that they would not have inspired skins from external source material. It is possible that Deadpool, Morbius, Venom, and Storm could each have unique skin packs tied into their DLC releases, but if that ends up being the case it would be purchasable separately from the Season Pass bundle.

In all, the Legendary Edition appears to be the edition fans may want if they hope to receive the full, comprehensive Marvel’s Midnight Suns experience. No character is console-exclusive, but fans will miss out on four complete characters in combat missions and the Abbey if they do not consider the Season Pass, making it a worthwhile DLC to invest in during Marvel’s Midnight Suns’ post-launch development.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns launches December 2 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with PS4, Switch, and Xbox One versions coming later.
