Fans have been subject to some awe-inspiring and underwhelming versions of Ghost Rider from both the comic books and the big screen. Hoping for a great iteration of the recently underutilized hero, fans of his should be pumped to see his inclusion in Marvel's Midnight Suns.
Robbie Reyes indeed lives up to the hype, at least on the battlefield. For experts that plan on taking out the toughest difficulties in Marvel's Midnight Suns, they'll want to strongly consider unlocking Ghost Rider as soon as possible to make him the primary damage dealer on the squad.
Unlocking Ghost Rider
- Complete the Faustian Bargain mission.
Faustian Bargain is an early story mission, so players won't be able to fail to unlock Ghost Rider; he's not missable. Unlocking his is a matter of when and not if. The mission requires that players unlock Captain Marvel and unlock Blade because they are required companions for the mission.
If players are challenging themselves on the hardest difficulties, this is one of the first real challenges. The mission is not a mere "kill the enemies" objective. Edit the hero decks for the three combatants to give them to maximize their output. Plan on needing to take out a heavily-shielded unit and grab the artifact he's guarding.
The artifacts themselves are useful for raising research levels and gaining new abilities. Getting access to Ghost Rider is already a solid reward, but this mission will unlock abilities that can give the squad a chance to turn movements into push attacks and forge powerful single-use items for those extra-difficult missions.
In combat, Ghost Rider is one of the best on tough maps because he has moves that have a chance to instantly kill enemies when they get knocked into an area. This makes him a perfect companion for The Hunter, who is a knockback champ. Once players level up his cards, Ghost Rider deals colossal damage and hardly needs any help in the damage department.
