The catch, though, is that every hero starts with a default minimum deck and the way to get more cards for these heroes is not at all straightforward. For players that want to unleash their full potential in Marvel's Midnight Suns, they'll need to know how to get ahold of more cards.

Beat Missions With A Gamma Coil Reward

Players will be getting new cards from Gamma Coils. These devices are rewards given for completing missions. To see which missions have these rewards, go to the Mirror Table in the abbey, then look for the red cylindrical icon. It is labeled, 'Gamma Coil' to make the search easier.

Bring along heroes on the mission that players want to unlock cards for. These Gamma Coils will give players a choice to pick of one a few cards, limited to the heroes that won the Gamma Coil. For example, if Ghost Rider didn't come along on the mission, he will not have a card option in the pool. The game experimented with some original ideas, and this one is certainly unique.

Visit The Forge

After beating the mission and getting a Gamma Coil, head down to the forge where Tony will have the device in front of him. He'll crack it open and then players will get to choose one card from within.

Don't be afraid to select redundant cards as these can be combined to upgrade a card from the deck. Consider starting with The Hunter's cards since he'll be a part of most missions; getting his deck squared away makes winning other missions and getting more Gamma Coils all the more simple. Comic Books games are at an interesting crossroads right now and this mini-loot box system only adds to the complexity of the landscape.

Marvel's Midnight Suns is available now for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
