Players that love to bring Magik along are well-aware of her damage and crowd-control potential in Marvel's Midnight Suns. If they can manage to beat her challenge, she also completely negates enemies for an entire round in combat.

These challenges aren't like most battles in the game. There are modifiers to the cards played, redraws, and moves. The cards received are preset and defined. There is usually only one way to beat this challenge in Marvel's Midnight Suns and this is the way to do it for Magik in Demon Child.

Beating Demon Child

1. Use the Limbo's Grasp card.
2. Use the Limbo Portal card, aiming it at the green trap.
3. Use the Quick Soulslash card on opponent 3.
4. Use the Trap Door card on opponent 3, placing it between the red trap and opponent 1.
5. Detonate the red trap.
6. Use the Kick card and knock opponent 3 into opponent 1.
7. Use the Trap Door card on opponent 3, placing it in front of opponent 4.
8. Use the Soul Blast card and knock opponent 3 into opponent 4.
9. Use the Darkchylde card.
10. End the turn.

Unlike most of the other challenges, Magik doesn't have to slay all of her opponents. She only needs to survive for one round. The trick is that enemy attacks will kill her in one strike. So the goal is to get the Darkchylde card from opponent 3. Start by using Limbo's Grasp to increase damage through the portal.

Next, create a portal with the Limbo Portal card and aim it at the green trap.

Now send opponent 3 through the portal by using Quick Soulslash against it.

The next task is to move opponent 3 so that it can be damaged by both the red trap and by bumping into opponent 1. Use Trap Door on opponent 3 and wedge their new placement in between the red trap and opponent 1.

Manually detonate the red trap to deal some damage to opponent 3.

Now use Kick and aim the trajectory of opponent 3 into opponent 1.

It's time to set up another push. Play Trap Door on opponent 3 and move them in front of opponent 4.

Finally, use the last card, Soul Blast, to knock opponent 3 into opponent 4, killing opponent 3.

Play the Darkchylde card and end the turn. Magik will be attacked by all remaining opponents but her Invulnerable status effect makes her immune to all the damage she would have taken.

The legendary Darkchylde card is now available for other battles. Edit the deck to add the card and get some practice with it.
