Eidos Montreal’s Guardians of the Galaxy is releasing in just a few days, and for those interested in the game, the official Twitter account has confirmed the achievements/trophies that can be unlocked in-game. In it, players take on the role of Star-Lord and lead the titular team on an original, single-player journey. Overall, it remains to be seen how the game holds up or maybe even compares to Marvel’s Avengers, but the achievement/trophy list certainly seems interesting.

First, it’s worth mentioning that all Guardians of the Galaxy achievements and trophies can be acquired regardless of difficulty or accessibility settings. The social media post also reveals that there are 25 hidden/secret achievements tied to the story, which it does not list, and it includes 33 in its list (34 counting the Platinum trophy). That means, overall, there are 58 standard achievements/trophies to be unlocked.

At a glance, a lot of the Guardians of the Galaxy trophies are tied to outfits, combat, abilities, and a few little odds and ends. They do not appear to be that hard, overall, but how long it takes to beat Guardians of the Galaxy/earn all of the game’s achievements remains unclear. As such, for fans who want to unlock them all, these may be worth keeping in mind while playing the game:

What’s almost immediately noticeable is how, while players only take on the role of Star-Lord in-game, the achievements are as focused, if not moreso, on the titular team overall. Many abilities are listed, and it’ll be interesting to see how well they are used in the combat/gameplay of Guardians of the Galaxy. Beyond just basic abilities, even, there are achievements/trophies tied to auto-combos, Call to Actions, and more.

Luckily, fans don’t have to wait long to find out. October has already seen some major video game releases like Far Cry 6, Back 4 Blood, and Metroid Dread, and Guardians of the Galaxy is joining that list soon.

Guardians of the Galaxy releases October 26 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, and Xbox One.
