As with many major video games in recent years, Marvel's Avengers receives new updates to provide improvements to various bugs and gameplay issues. The latest update to Marvel's Avengers in March was update 2.3, which introduced its own share of improvements to the game. However, that has recently changed.

A new Twitter post from the official Marvel's Avengers account revealed earlier today that the game has a new update. Update 2.3.1 will provide a series of fixes to various identified bugs and improvements to several aspects of the game. The new update patch was released across the game's launch platforms, including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Google Stadia.

Marvel's Avengers new patch update released the patch notes for update 2.3.1, which showed that the update covers issues concerning several aspects of the game. The sections are separated into Combat, the Reassemble Campaign and Avengers Initiative, Multiplayer & Matchmaking, Art & Animation, and the Gear, Challenges, & Rewards section.

In the Combat section, the new update resolves an issue with Thor in Marvel's Avengers that was preventing him from doing damage when he was equipped with the Sonic Status gear. The update also fixes an issue that was causing a black screen to appear when players returned to Avengers Initiative after completing the final campaign mission in Marvel's Avengers.

The Multiplayer & Matchmaking section contains the most issues that were resolved as part of the new patch update for the game. The update fixed a similar issue as the black screen problem in Avengers Initiative, where a black screen was appearing after players accepted a multiplayer invite from the main menu. The update fixes numerous issues in Multiplayer & Matchmaking, including voiceover lines not playing and an issue that caused players to be sent back to the main menu with a "connection error" after trying to load into an Outpost.

The update also fixes issues that caused players to receive different rewards than what's shown in the mission details for the City Under Siege and Above and Beyond missions. It also fixed a couple of issues related to Kate Bishop and Clint Barton Hawkeye's HARM Challenges along with an issue that prevented HARM Challenges from populating on the War Table for under-leveled players in the game.

The new patch update also resolves several issues for Art & Animation concerning Hawkeye's sword, and Kate Bishop's hair in the Supernatural Avengers Outfit. The Gear, Challenges, & Rewards section has several fixes applied to several issues with Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel's Signature attack perks, Kate Bishop's Quantum Effector perk, and Thor's Rampant Lethal Extension perk.

Marvel's Avengers is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
