Will there be a sequel to Marvel’s Avengers in the same way that there was a Destiny 2? If so, how long will that take? Based on how this game ends, fans are already thirsty for answers.

Whether these questions will be answered is a whole other subject, but Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have created a large runway for possible DLC episodes to fill in the gaps. Spider-Man, Hawkeye, and Kate Bishop are on their way for characters, but what about story packs? Here are some ideas of what fans would like to see next before the inevitable sequel drops.

10 The 5 Year Hiatus

What was going on with the team in the five-year time gap for the Marvel’s Avengers game? For that matter, what was the world going through? From the story present, it seems like Black Widow was the only one continuing to be an action hero as it were. A DLC pack showing what was going on with everyone could be good even with downtime.

9 MODOK Disappears

Once Kamala finishes off MODOK’s giant robot, he seemingly falls out of it and into the ocean. However, in the closing scenes a green light shoots out of the robot.

Either that was the real MODOK and the other was a fake, or there was someone else in there with him. Either way, these answers probably won’t be dealt with in DLC but one never knows.

8 Where Is Nick Fury?

Nick Fury from Marvel's Avengers

Nick Fury is seen two major times in the Marvel’s Avengers game’s story. He first appears on A-Day dismissing some reporters. He next appears in a SHIELD bunker in a pre-recorded message. Maria Hill doesn’t think he is dead, but his whereabouts are currently unknown. He could be somewhere on Earth, assisting some new Avengers initiative that could get explored on like the West coast.

7 Where Is Dum Dum Dugan?

Maria Hill and Dum Dum Dugan from Marvel's Avengers

In that same pre-recorded video with Nick Fury, he shows a picture of Maria Hill and Dum Dum Dugan. Hill is eventually found but like Fury, Dugan is also missing. Besides this video message, he is never seen again. As he does have ties to Captain America, he could turn up with Bucky somewhere in a search for the Captain in that five-year time skip.

6 Captain Marvel Off Planet Adventures

Kamala and her father from Marvel's Avengers

Captain Marvel is a shoe-in for this game. Her information was found in the beta leak for the Marvel’s Avengers game and she is mentioned to be off-world somewhere in the story. As Kamala is her number one fan, it would stand to reason that she would appear at some point. There are so many opportunities for the DLC to explore in space. It could even involve other space heroes like the Guardians of the Galaxy.

5 Black Widow’s Spy Games

Black Widow from Marvel's Avengers

Black Widow may get the short end of the stick in the Marvel movies, but she is given a good character in the Marvel’s Avengers game. That is to say, she is one of the best and most surprising additions to the team. She’s like a ninja crossed with Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid. As mentioned earlier, she was off doing missions during the five-year break. Sounds like a good opportunity to create tactical espionage action for DLC.

4 The Ant Hill

Hank Pym from Marvel's Avengers

Hank was another character that was leaked from the game’s beta. As he already appears as a side character, it should stand to reason that Ant-Man would make it into the game in a playable state at some point. He does have a secret society of Inhumans hiding at the Ant Hill. It’s a great place to start for another prequel narrative. The Wasp was also spotted in the leak so she could be involved too.

3 The Inhumans Initiative

The Ant Hill from Marvel's Avengers

In the main story, Inhumans are treated like a curse thanks to AIM. Now that the Avengers are here, the persecution may be winding down.

This could create the perfect opportunity to introduce some more Inhumans to the team. The most obvious pick could also be tied to the Ant Hill: Dante. In the comics he becomes Inferno. Why have Dante in the game if he doesn’t become playable?

2 Under The Waves

Sub-Mariner from the comics

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been to land, air, and even space. It has not dived into the water and it’s about time they do. Along with that, the Marvel’s Avengers game could go in as well. There was talk of plates creating the disturbance on A-Day. Avengers: Endgame also brought this up as a side note. Both of these info drops could be hinting at the Sub-Mariner entering the Marvel stage. Underwater DLC could be cool if handled right.

1 Thor’s Activities

Thor from Marvel's Avengers

Dr. Donald Blake is one of the aliases Thor has gone under in the comics. To be clear, this character is kind of like a clone, or host body for Thor’s powers. It’s a bit confusing but that’s not the main point. That is what is on his name tag when he enters the game though. So, this could be either an Easter egg or a hint at some more prequel DLC to come.
