Marvel’s Avengers players hoping for more cosmetics are in luck, as the game will be seeing another special skin added to the marketplace. The skin will give Iron Man his Superior comic book appearance, with the Marvel’s Avengers version serving as a complete recreation of the costume.

For those unfamiliar with Superior Iron Man, this version of Tony Stark is a full-fledged villain. Created after the Axis event in Marvel comics, which saw the morality of heroes and villains flipped, the character is cruel and rules over an empire. Boasting similar personality traits to Doctor Doom, this version of Stark is nothing like his former self. While he was defeated by former romantic interest Pepper Potts, this memorable and corrupt Iron Man received a full solo run of comics.

While Iron Man will not be seen extorting and enslaving anyone in-game, players can still get the Superior armor set to use in their games. The special Iron Man costume was revealed by Kinda Funny content creator Greg Miller, and it looks far different from anything players can currently buy for Iron Man. It is covered entirely in silver, and two smaller lights can be seen near the arc reactor on the Armored Avenger’s chest, with a unique pattern seen as well.

However, the Superior Iron Man skin’s standout feature is its lack of a helmet. Tony Stark’s face can be seen clearly, with the character’s signature look remaining the same apart from some glowing blue eyes. A unique headband design can be seen, mirroring the one from the comics, while Stark’s hair is exposed as well. With Avengers leader Captain America also having skins where he does not have a helmet, players can now run a full group of unmasked heroes.

While Greg Miller did not share a price for the skin, past legendary outfits have all been priced at 1400 — meaning this skin will likely cost the same. Marvel’s Avengers is slowly adding some of the most unique looks from Marvel Comics to the game, with several villainous designs now available. The Maestro Hulk skin was recently added, while Hawkeye’s Ronin alter ego has been available since he arrived. With the original Hydra Cap suit also available, there is a fair number of options for those that like darker versions of The Avengers.

For any Marvel’s Avengers fans who cannot get enough of cosmetic additions, the upcoming Red Room Takeover event will be adding the first batch of MCU skins to the game. That said, the MCU costumes will be paid microtransactions, meaning players will need to fork over a lot of units if they want them.

Marvel’s Avengers is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
