Spider-Man is finally set to debut in Marvel's Avengers with an official release date, which was recently shared alongside a lengthy content roadmap for November. Perhaps in a desperate attempt to keep this year's promise of Spider-Man's debut, Spider-Man's downloadable-content has come down to the wire in terms of its launch.

Of course, the only Marvel's Avengers players that will be concerned with Spider-Man's addition are those who own the game on PlayStation, because Spider-Man is console-exclusive. Spider-Man launches this month and fans have been justifiably concerned about the character's content and what it may entail. But despite console disparities and the perpetually unclear details about Spider-Man in Marvel's Avengers, Crystal Dynamics appears ready to finally unveil what the long-awaited wall-crawler will look like.

Thanks to a Dev Stream from Crystal Dynamics, an official first look of Spider-Man in Marvel's Avengers has been subtly shared, though it is primarily and purposely obscured by a menu's UI. In a rather fleeting moment during the livestream, the developers share a UI screen that clearly features Spider-Man's character model within his own character layout menu. Crystal Dynamics makes no note of Spider-Man as he appears here and instead chooses to ignore it completely while discussing irrelevant matters such as resource economy changes.

Spider-Man's original design in Marvel's Avengers is tough to discern because of this UI that obscures most of the character, but fans can see that this appearance reflects the web-slinger's traditional iconography. Spider-Man's mask pattern insignia is seen in the background, and a distinct nameplate with art from J. Scott Campbell is currently equipped on the developer's layout template.

Further, Crystal Dynamics ended the livestream on a note that the next Dev Stream, which is scheduled for next Friday, will feature a more explicit reveal of Spider-Man, as well as some of the cosmetic skins that he will have available in Marvel's Avengers. So, fortunately for PlayStation users who have waited since Marvel's Avengers' launch, there is more information about Spider-Man to look forward to next week.

It seems difficult to believe that this sort of reveal would be an unintentional error on Crystal Dynamics' behalf, though certain cosmetics and other information have previously appeared as leaked Marvel's Avengers correspondence before. But with such a small window left for Marvel's Avengers to display this content, this is surely an overdue first look that fans can enjoy until next week's livestream.

Marvel's Avengers is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
