Made by Crystal Dynamics, Marvel's Avengers is an action role-playing brawler game that treads on a path of being a live-service multiplayer game, complete with elaborate roadmaps on future updates, all the while possessing a single-player mode. A recent trend in the video game industry that began over the past decade, and one that's been handled both poorly and successly, the Games as a Service model has been the boon and the bane of Marvel's Avengers as the development team faced major backlash over its implementation, as well as the state of the game at launch.

One bright corner in the way Crystal Dynamics has handled the roadmap of Marvel's Avengers has been in the studio's attempt to recreate the superhero outfits as featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recreating the costumes of characters such as Black Widow, Iron Man, and Black Panther. In addition to these cosmetic updates, Crystal Dynamics has not shied away from releasing more substantial content, as well as new heroes to the roster – and the current rumor, speculated for the past few months, was that She-Hulk would become the next character to join the fray.

A tweet posted by the Twitter user named Miller, known as a veritable source of trustworthiness among the fans of Marvel's Avengers, made public the rumor that Krizia Bajos would be playing Jennifer Walters – She-Hulk – in Crystal Dynamics' game. To lend further credence to the rumors, the voice actress herself, known for her work in Netflix's Arcane, directly responded to the tweet with a green heart emoji.

It is unknown when and if She-Hulk will arrive in the game, with most players speculating a March release window to coincide with the start of the next roadmap for Marvel's Avengers. But the recent developments might dispell any doubts the game's community may have had concerning the veracity of the rumor.

While the reception regarding the potential addition of Jennifer Walters to the game has been positive, some among the playerbase are disappointed in Crystal Dynamics' choice to add yet another similar character to the roster, citing Hawkeye and Kate Bishop as a recent example of this trend. Among their suggestions for as-of-yet unreleased characters that deserve a spot in the game are characters such as Doctor Strange, the Falcon, Shang-Chi or even the much-requested Captain Marvel.

Regardless of the order in which these heroes make their way to the game, one cannot help but wonder how much the pandemic has affected the initial plans for the post-launch content of Marvel's Avengers, as even the studio itself implies that it threw a major wrench during the final stages of the game's development. Ultimately, fans of Marvel can but hope for Crystal Dynamics to steer the project back to its promise so that Marvel's Avengers may reach its full potential in the coming years.

Marvel's Avengers is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
