Information about what players can anticipate from Marvel's Avengers has recently gone dark. Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix had previously stated that fans would hear about future content in early 2022, so it could be any day now that subsequent months are outlined and detailed.

In the meantime, players who have wanted cosmetic skins to role-play as their favorite MCU iterations of the Avengers have gotten their wish and more. Marvel's Avengers is now saturated with these skins for its characters, and more are surely on the way as there are still movies and Disney Plus shows that Marvel's Avengers can take inspiration from. Many are seemingly still in the pipeline, as the latest MCU-inspired outfit has already been announced for the "star-spangled man with a plan."

Captain America's red, white, and blue tactical garb from Captain America: The First Avenger arrives in Marvel's Avengers' Marketplace tomorrow. Steve Rogers wears this attire after he is formally respected by America's army as a super soldier and receives the classic vibranium shield that is synonymous with the character's mythology. This Captain America: The First Avenger skin will now accompany Cap's three other MCU-inspired outfits from The Avengers, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.

Meanwhile, the response from fans has been less receptive to back-to-back cosmetics due to the developer's lack of communication about the game itself. Indeed, it is just over a month into the new year and Marvel's Avengers' next content roadmap has yet to be addressed further. Players have understandably become weary of this pattern and are excited to hear what they can look forward to beyond Marvel's Avengers' abundant MCU-related content.

Much like any live-service title, Marvel's Avengers will be constantly countering issues introduced with new features and the user experience. It is possible that Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have updates on the way that will address players' complaints, but are not yet ready to propose it until the roadmap is finalized. Marvel's Avengers' Shipment outfits demonstrate that there is an effort to have cosmetics be more accessible as earned rewards, for example, rather than piling them all into the Marketplace for purchase.

Until more news is shared, however, players can continue to enjoy the rollout of MCU outfits that have become a staple of Marvel's Avengers. Captain America's MCU outfit catalog now has four unique skins players can choose from, though many fans have expressed that they hope to see outfits for Cap that are adapted from Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War.

Marvel’s Avengers is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
