The Marvel's Avengers War Table event gave many new details on the game coming out on September 4th. The War Table event gave fans a new trailer, a full mission of gameplay, some visually appealing skins, and the origin of the game's main villain, MODOK.

Before becoming MODOK, George Tarleton started his rise to infamy as a founding member of the organization, Advanced Idea Mechanics, or AIM for short. With a vision of curing the Inhuman disease, Tarleton used the Adaptoid project to convince the world that people with superpowers are too dangerous. Tarleton becomes obsessed with eliminating Inhumans and through rigorous experimentation, becomes the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing, or MODOK.

MODOK was chosen to be the main villain of Marvel's Avengers because of his ability to challenge the Avengers and gives a new face to modern Avenger fans. The War Table trailer highlights that MODOK has been around since 1967 in Marvel comics and has been in numerous fights with Avengers members over the years. MODOK's superior intellect and ability to control machines poses a giant threat to the Avengers and makes him a worthy opponent in the upcoming game.

The trailer sheds some light on the current state of the world within Marvel's Avengers. AIM has a massive influence on the public and MODOK's machines are positioned everywhere. AIM's robots, including Adaptoids, will make up a large part of the enemies players will face. The War Table also showed gameplay from a Thor mission where he is hammering away at a variety of AIM robots.

The story revolves around Kamala Khan's investigation into AIM and discovery of MODOK's true plan of experimenting on Inhumans. Kamala Khan makes her appearance as Ms. Marvel as she tracks down Avengers members in an effort to stop MODOK and bring down AIM. Although the War Table does not go into full details about the Adaptoid project, it is known that George Tarleton had a hand in developing the dangerous robots. Adaptoids are able to take forms and abilities from others around and pose a huge threat to the Avengers.

The Marvel's Avengers War Table provided some great information about MODOK and more details about the upcoming game. Many fans may not know much about MODOK, but he will definitely make a mark when players witness his true power and evil plans in Marvel's Avengers.

Marvel's Avengers releases on September 4 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. PS5 and Xbox Series X versions are also in development.
