After weeks of waiting, Marvel's Avengers fans can finally rest knowing that the Cosmic Cube activities are actually arriving this month. The new Villain Sector had been marked for a June release window on the game's road map months ago, but it took until E3 weekend for the release window to be confirmed. That means that players are currently working through their last week before a new villain and the next limited time event go live.

Although the Cosmic Cube event won't fire off until next week's rotation (June 24), players can still log into the game now and start completing activities to knock off the dust and get back into the swing of things. Marvel's Avengers week 42 has some fan favorite missions back in priority status and completing the weekly challenges is a great way for endgame players to keep chipping away at that Champion System progress.

The new week's rotation (week 42) is live now and offers heroes a chance to complete the usual amount of low or high level challenges to claim some guaranteed item and XP rewards. There is obviously a bit of extra motivation to login and grind through challenges while there is a limited time event on the table, but even without that added incentive the XP is still pretty valuable at this point in the game. Item rewards are very exciting for players who are still working towards max power level, but might provide a little less motivation for maxed out heroes.

This week's rotation is comprised of content that the majority of players should be used to at this point and the rotating challenges deliver new motivation to revisit existing missions thanks to those guaranteed rewards. The missions that are up for grabs this week offer some unique challenges and require a bit of strategy thanks to special modifiers that players will have to adjust to. Take careful note of the modifiers listed here before diving in head first. Experience heroes may already be familiar with all of the different modifiers that the game rotates through by this point and have hopefully figured out how to adjust their strategy to successfully power through the weekly grind without any real problems.

That should be just about everything players need to know to prepare for the current week's challenges. There's just one week to go until the Cosmic Cube event arrives and the latest Black Panther trailer may have helped build some hype for the game, so hopefully matchmaking won't be an issue this week.
