A new week is here and, although the Cosmic Cube event still hasn't arrived, there's still some exciting activities and opportunities to keep Marvel's Avengers players busy in mid June. The new week brings the usual rotation of Priority Missions and rewards, but that isn't all there. There are also some brand new items available in the game's Marketplace.
Week 41 doesn't include a timed event, which means the theme for the week's cosmetics was a bit of a mystery until they went live. Now that the shop has been updated, some fans were excited to see a unique steampunk theme taking over the main series of team outfit spots. That's just the tip of the iceberg though and there may be some options available for Marvel's Avengers fans even if they aren't into the steampunk aesthetic.
The steampunk look is currently available for Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, and Kate Bishop and the other half of the team will surely rotate into the Marketplace next Thursday during the week 42 update. The alternate costumes in the shop this week go in a very different direction and feature some popular casual looks for both Captain America and the God of Thunder. As always, there will be one free item for players to claim as well, so don't forget to login and grab that while it's up for grabs...
Steampunk Team
Own a glimpse of an alternate brass and velvet future with the Steampunk Outfits! BYOC (Bring your own cufflinks). This week has the outfits for Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, and Kate Bishop. Embody the romantically mechanistic aesthetic and get gilded before they fly away on their metaphorical dirigible!
Captain America Bootcamp and Hardware Store Thor
For the fans of casual outfits, we have two new items for you! Get back to basic training in Captain America’s Boot Camp outfit, or don a rugged look ready for some DIY with Thor’s Hardware Store outfit.
Takedowns, Nameplates, and Discounts
Three new takedowns are here: Black Widow’s Come a Little Closer, Iron Man’s A Little Hand to Hand, and Ms. Marvel’s Making My Own Fun. Add some pizazz to your finishers!

This week’s free Marketplace offering is the CB069 Nameplate—make sure you pick it up! Speaking of free items, have you used your Hero’s Catalysts yet? They’re great items to use in order to level up your Heroes, especially since Omega Level Threats are on the horizon.
That should cover everything of note in the Marketplace for week 42, but players should keep an eye out for any surprise additions or sales that could pop up during E3 week. It's not uncommon for companies to drop something new and exciting during their E3 presentations, so be sure to check back for coverage of the Square Enix E3 event to see if any surprises are unveiled.
