Although Marvel's Avengers does feature purchasable Challenge Cards for each add-on hero, the game's primary recurring source of revenue definitely comes from the Marketplace. The cosmetic options available in the Marketplace rotate on a weekly basis and the recent introduction of limited events to the game have finally started to introduce a bit of variety and excitement to those offerings for players who are willing to spend some real world dollars and cents on the items.
There were some very cool Lite Brite looking outfits available throughout the Tachyon Anomaly event and now even more unique cosmetics are appearing with the start of the Red Room event and activities. This week's Marvel's Avengers update includes a lot more than some new animated nameplates with the appearance of a Black Widow MCU inspired costume, beach gear for one hero, and the first half of the Red Room black and red outfits for the full roster of heroes.
Players can start exploring this week's Marketplace right now and see if any of the new cosmetics seem worth the cost to them. The costumes aren't necessarily cheap and picking up every one available can quickly become a very expensive habit, so players should take a careful look at everything available before committing to any purchases.
Black Widow Endgame Outfit
As promised, it's finally time for official MCU-inspired outfits to start making their way into the game. This week's Marketplace update includes a brand new Black Widow outfit inspired by her look in Avengers Endgame...
Red Room Outfits
The Red Room outfit set has been teased many times since the event was first announced with the Avengers roadmap reveal. The Black Widow tie-in event is finally right around the corner and players are already able to start getting into the spirit with the first half of the Red Room outfits available in the Marketplace. Similar to the outfits that were available during the previous event, half of the heroes will be available this week and the other half will appear next week after the usual Thursday rotation.
Ms Marvel Beach Outfit
Marvel's Avengers may not be an anime, but that doesn't mean it can't have a beach episode. There isn't a full roster of beach gear in the Marketplace yet, but summer is kicking off with an awesome blue and black variant for Ms Marvel's wardrobe.
Those are the most exciting updates this week, but players can visit the Marketplace itself to check out the full lineup, including the Red Room animated nameplates.
