With Spider-Man's debut in Marvel's Avengers set for November 30, it can be easy to conflate or overlook all of the other updates and content that are set to arrive at the end of the month as well.

Marvel's Avengers' recent issues have mostly concerned pay-to-win mechanics, which have since been banished. Now, players can look forward to another gripe being rectified. Marvel's Avengers' Marketplace has caused contention with cosmetics, takedowns, and other items securely locked behind paywalls, but a new feature is scheduled for November 30 that will help balance this issue for players.

Marvel's Avengers has shared an update that will make its debut on the same day as Spider-Man's release, offering feature fans have been asking for since launch – more ways to naturally earn cosmetics through inherent and intended gameplay mechanics, rather than simply turning to the Marketplace's cosmetic paywall. This will be met with Marvel's Avengers' Shipments, which introduce a new feature that will earn players cosmetics, takedowns, emotes, nameplates, and other items or resources.

Marvel's Avengers' shipments are technically and functionally loot boxes, though they are more considerate to the user experience than typical half-baked, paywall-locked item randomizers. Each individual shipment allows players to see what assortment of goods they will receive from it and refreshes daily. Shipments will cost Units, not Credits, and will be relatively cheap at 500 Units a piece, which is "the same cost as a Nameplate on the Cosmetic Vendor." Fortunately, this ensures that these shipments will in fact offer valuable, earnable items on a regular basis.

As BobDuckNWeave points out, free daily shipments are doled out for completing Marvel's Avengers' new, daily objective chain called "Rise & Shine." If players consciously complete these objectives, they can ensure that daily shipments will be available, and free items or cosmetics can be earned through legitimate gameplay.

Specialty items are also set as highlighted selections in Marvel's Avengers' shipments and Cosmetic Vendors, which will allow for more variety and choice in this month's update. These specialty items may also be exclusive to shipment rewards, as is the original-design Wakandan Stealth cosmetic for Iron Man.

Marvel's Avengers' Spider-Man launch may already be enough to satisfy some players, but players who have wished for better user experience improvements may soon also have their wishes granted, especially if they were inconvenienced by Marvel's Avengers' Marketplace paywalls. By the end of the month, Marvel's Avengers players will be able to earn more substantial and preferable content through gameplay, which surely gives many players a reason to hop back in and check out the game alongside Spider-Man's release.

Marvel’s Avengers is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
