Square Enix's ensemble superhero adventure, Marvel's Avengers, contains a bunch of costume cosmetics. Cosmetics appear in the highly controversial Marketplace and at in-game cosmetic vendors in each outpost, with many fans remaining displeased with the microtransactional nature of Marvel's Avengers to date. However, Marvel's Avengers has recently demonstrated its efforts toward improving characteristics of the game that have been requested from fans to better accommodate its player-base.

But while the Marketplace's design is similar to how it was at launch, some fans are happy enough having the cosmetic skins from other source material in Marvel's Avengers. Lately, there have been certain cosmetics that fans have requested that are finally debuting in the game. For example, Marvel's Avengers previously released cosmetic skins based on the characters' appearances in the film Avengers: Endgame (2018). Further, a new announcement shows the next MCU-inspired cosmetic that will be added to the game.

Today, Marvel's Avengers announced that players will soon be able to don Steve Rogers' iconic and simple suit skin from The Avengers (2012). Fans of the MCU are familiar with this suit in the Avengers' first blockbuster outing where Captain America leads the other heroes in protecting New York City from the Chitauri invasion. Fans' response to the cosmetic announcement are positive due to the suit being one of a number of highly requested cosmetics in Marvel's Avengers, and fans do not have to wait long before it becomes available in the Marketplace.

The War for Wakanda DLC expansion releases on August 17, and if that is not enough of an incentive for Marvel's Avengers fans to jump back into the game, that is also when Captain America's The Avengers cosmetic skin will be available. Black Panther and the War for Wakanda DLC are likely assisting in softening the blow that Marvel's Avengers has suffered since launch. With a notable increase in player count during Marvel's Avengers' free-to-play weekend, it would seem as though players are interested to see what the game has to offer in its current condition and are looking ahead to its future content.

Moreover, a recent dev stream from Crystal Dynamics reported several significant changes to the efficiency of menu and resource management in Marvel's Avengers with an updated user interface. These updates are being implemented into Marvel's Avengers on August 17 as well, making this Tuesday's content and expansion drop a monumental update for the game that fans are undoubtedly excited for.

Marvel's Avengers is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
