Marvel's Avengers has already incorporated character skins based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the likes of Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Captain America receiving their looks from Avengers: Endgame. Cap's skin even came with a matching shield design. So, with Black Widow's solo movie now available to watch in theatres and on Disney+ from tomorrow, it's no surprise that developer Crystal Dynamics would release a themed skin to capitalize on.

Announced via the official Marvel's Avengers Twitter account, the skin simply swaps out Natasha's usual black spy suit for a pure white one to match her appearance in the movie. Despite the movie not releasing until tomorrow, players can already acquire the skin through the in-game Marketplace.

For anyone unfamiliar with it, the Black Widow movie takes place after the events of Captain America: Civil War, where Natasha has been forced to go on the run for assisting the fugitive Cap and Bucky Barnes escape arrest. The movie sees her reunite with fellow Black Widows who she once trained alongside in the Red Room and confront her past, as well as a new threat in the form of Taskmaster (who, coincidentally enough, appears in the Avengers game as well).

Some fans, however, seem less than thrilled with the skin, mainly because Black Widow's hair hasn't been changed to match how the character appears in the movie, sticking to how her hair looks in her default look. This was a complaint fans had with her Avengers: Endgame skin and clearly aren't thrilled that it's been repeated here. Even some who admit to thinking the skin is awesome are disappointed that it's not a 1:1 match.

A skin not changing a character's hair is probably the least of Avengers' problems. While it has since been thankfully fixed, PlayStation 5 players found themselves experiencing a bug which would display their IP address and account name on screen. This was especially severe for anyone who was livestreaming the game at the time since it risked opening them up to DDOS attacks.

Most fans are likely more invested in the next major expansion coming to the game in August. The War for Wakanda expansion will see Black Panther make his long-awaited debut, as well as a new storyline revolving around the character and his kingdom of Wakanda. A CGI trailer was shown during E3 2021, but details, such as Black Panther's gameplay, are still scarce. Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have also yet to share anything related to Spider-Man, who's still slated to be added to the game this year, albeit as a PlayStation exclusive.

Marvel's Avengers is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
