The Incredible Hulk is known as the Strongest There Is in the Marvel Universe. The Hulk is Dr. Bruce Banner, a man who was doused by gamma radiation during the test for a gamma bomb of his own design. Now that, whenever Bruce becomes angry, he will turn into the jade giant known as the Hulk.
The Hulk is one of the main characters in Marvel's Avengers and, true to his reputation, can be the most devastating character in the player's arsenal. This list will guide players through which skills they should unlock first, to make the Hulk as mighty as possible.
10 Meteor
As the Hulk, players will want to be able to do massive attacks that hit as many enemies as possible, constantly keeping them off-balance and vulnerable to your destructive attacks. Meteor is a prime example of such attacks. To perform it, Hulk rips up a chunk of rubble from the ground and hurls it at his foes.
Hulk generally isn't going to have many long-range options as far as Avengers go, so unlocking Meteor sooner rather than later is a good decision. This gives Hulk some options when dealing with groups of enemies.
9 Shatter Spin
Shatter Spin is another power attack option, and it requires that players unlock Meteor. This skill presents a close-range alternative use for the rubble excavated through the Meteor attack.
After grabbing the rubble, the player can press the light or heavy attack button to have Hulk spin around with the rubble as a melee weapon. Area of effect attacks are the cornerstone of the Hulk's strategy, so Shatter Spin is a really good early skill to unlock.
8 Power Spike
Power Spike is a grab attack that builds upon the Hulk's Bludgeon default power. When grabbing an enemy, the player can press the heavy attack button to initiate the Power Spike skill. It has the Hulk leap up into the air and slam the enemy into the ground. It creates a shockwave, damaging nearby enemies.
This is another area of effect skill that will keep enemies off-guard, while dealing massive damage to whatever unlucky soul the Hulk has in his clutches.
7 Smackdown
Smackdown is another grab attack upgrade that presents an alternative to the Power Spike ability. It allows the Hulk to grab a second opponent, and then turn his twin victims into weapons in a rapid light or heavy attack combo.
This attack is deliciously cruel, as it uses enemies as weapons against each other. The Hulk turns them into melee weapons – mere tools to use against their comrades.
6 Gamma Crusher
The Gamma Crusher skill further builds upon Smackdown, and requires that skill to already be unlocked as a prerequisite. Instead of using the two enemies that the Hulk has grabbed as direct melee weapons, the Hulk instead slams them together with immense force.
This deals a ton of damage to the two foes that the Hulk is holding. It also sends out a powerful shockwave that deals more damage to other opponents nearby.
5 Earth Smasher
This move builds upon the Hulk's Skyfall ability, which is unlocked by default. Earth Smasher is an aerial attack that the player can initiate by holding down the heavy attack button while the Hulk is in the air.
This will cause Hulk to crash into the ground, creating a shockwave that breaks guards in a large area around the Hulk. Earth Smasher is yet another area of effect attack that leaves the Hulk's enemies vulnerable to a follow-up attack.
4 Devil's Rampage
The madder the Hulk gets, the stronger he gets. His intrinsic ability is his Rage. The Devil's Rampage ability provides a boost to the Hulk's Rage meter by adding an additional 15 points to it every time the Hulk takes someone down.
When activated, the Hulk's rage mode increases his attack and defense skills. It can also parry opponents' attacks when it is initially activated.
3 Controlled Chaos
Controlled Chaos is another intrinsic ability skill upgrade, and it requires the Devil's Rampage ability to have already been unlocked. It further improves the Hulk's Rage ability, lowering its energy cost by 20%.
Players will want to be able to use the Hulk's rage as much as possible, so it only makes sense to get an ability like this, making Rage mode that much easier to access.
2 Cataclysm
Cataclysm is another upgrade to the Hulk's intrinsic Rage ability, and it requires the Hulk to reach Hero Level 15. This skill allows the Hulk's Rage meter to be overcharged through the continuous attacking of enemies. Once overcharged, Hulk's Rage mode will be automatically activated. All of his attacks will dole out an additional 20% of damage.
Attacking and perfect parries will allow Cataclysm to stay active for longer. However, taking damage or not attacking will stop Catacylsm and revert Hulk back to his normal state.
1 Unbearable Might
Unbearable Might improves the Catacylsm ability by increasing the Hulk's damage output by another 20% while the Hulk's Rage meter is overcharged. This results in a whopping 40% damage increase while the Hulk is in his Cataclysm state.
Combine this with all of those area of effect skills higher up on the list, and the player will be able to roll out incredible damage to all foes in the Hulk's vicinity at once. They don't call him the Strongest There Is for nothing. With these abilities, he'll be the undisputed powerhouse of the player's Avengers' Strike Force team.
