This year has been a good one so far for fighting game fans, as already excellent titles like Tekken 7 and Injustice 2 have launched to critical acclaim. Things don't slow down much later in 2017 as Capcom is reviving its longstanding crossover battle with Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite. Fans got a bigger taste of the upcoming 2v2 fighter as a new story trailer and demo announcement arrived last week. New details have again arrived early as exclusive PlayStation 4 content has been leaked online coming once again courtesy of Amazon, who has apparently started a trend of announcing things early.

One the main Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite store page, a recently posted screenshot shows Captain Marvel, aka Carol Danvers, in a new outfit with a bomber jacket, aviator sunglasses, and shorter hair as she's currently seen with in the comics. Known as Major Carol Danvers, the image also displays text confirming that this character skin is a PlayStation 4 exclusive item, so PC and Xbox One players likely won't be seeing this one.

Exclusive content on the PlayStation 4 shouldn't be too surprising as Capcom previously teamed with Sony to launch Street Fighter V exclusively on its console as well as the PC. While non-PS4 players won't be able to dress Captain Marvel with a more civilian style look, the currently offered special editions hint that Capcom has plans to introduce additional new costumes including Gladiator Hulk and Command Mission X. While Capcom hasn't yet confirmed that these costumes would be available for purchase separately, it's easy to assume the company will follow a line similar to how they launch DLC for Street Fighter V.

Based on the information and rumors so far, it appears that Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite is going to be a game that relies heavily on downloadable content. In addition to the various special additions players can currently pre-order, recent leaks have indicated that Capcom plans to keep the game updated with new content every three months or so. If rumors are true, many fan requested fighters such as the X-Men, Dalkstalkers, and more are being readied in what Capcom is calling seasonal content packs.
