Excitement for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is at an all-time high following a formal unveiling of a handful of new characters and the game's story mode. Among the newest fighters confirmed for the crossover-fuelled beat 'em up are Thor, Hulk, Ultron, Hawkeye, Chris Redfield, Strider Hiryu, and Chun-Li, and it makes sense that fans of the series would want to see those members of the roster in action.

Fortunately, Capcom has obliged those wishes by releasing some gameplay footage of the aforementioned characters in action. Seeing the newest members of the Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite roster square off against one another seems to indicate that the fight title is very much on track for its big debut this September, although fans are still curious to see how the final lineup of fighters will pan out.

Oddly enough, one of the characters that was only just confirmed amongst those featured above is still missing in action, and that fighter is none other than Guardians of the Galaxy's Rocket Raccoon. This could be the result of the development team still needing more time to finish up Rocket's moveset, or it could be because Capcom has a few surprises still left in store for the character.

Whatever the reason for leaving Rocket out of this video is, it's safe to say that there are still a number of fighters that will still be added to the fray that fans will want to see duke it out. Among those could very well be a pair of allegedly leaked Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite fighters, but only time will tell what awaits followers of the series.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite arrives for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 19, 2017.
