The Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 roster reveals just keep coming, but this time I don't believe it was Capcom's intention to show off two more characters. Regardless, we have a group of images confirming the presence of Okami's Amaterasu and Norse God Thor on the roster. The images have since been removed from Marvel's website and there has been no official announcement from Capcom, so consider this a confirmed leak.

This all comes after the big four character reveal as the San Diego Comic Con began. That announcement showcased Street Fighter's Chun-Li, Devil May Cry‘s Trish, and enemies of the Fantastic Four Dr.Doom and the Super Skrull. This brings the roster up to sixteen different characters, which is likely only half of the total roster.

Here's the images for your perusal:

Color me completely surprised! Who would have though that Okami's Amaterasu would make it in as a playable character. Certainly, if Capcom wanted to increase the marketing for their upcoming DS game Okamiden they would have used the tinier Chibiterasu instead of full grown Ammy. Whatever the reason, it's great seeing Okami get a little bit of respect.

Thor is likely in the game due to a similar circumstance, since he has a big movie coming out soon. Still, it should be a lot of fun swinging Mjollnir around.

Both characters seem like huge announcements, so I'm amazed that Capcom leaked them out unwillingly. The images are no longer available on Marvel.com, but since there has been no cease and desists orders going around the internet it's obvious they're not too worried about the situation.

Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 is due for release in the Spring of 2011 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
