Marvel vs Capcom 3 Alternate Costume DLC

Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is finally out for everyone to get their hands on, and judging from the reception the game's been getting, the wait has most certainly been worth it. While DLC that contains two more characters has already been confirmed to arrive somewhere down the line, and the Shadow Mode DLC is due March 1st, another DLC pack has just been announced.

The pack in question contains new costumes for Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Ryu, Chris Redfield, and Dante. And yes, unlike the costumes already in place, these are actual costumes and not just alternate colors. Like the alternate colors, however, some of the costumes draw from the respective characters' histories to add that extra bit of fanservice for the fans.

Below we have Chris in his green and white outfit way back from the original Resident Evil game. Ryu is also going old-school, wearing his outfit all the way back from the original Street Fighter arcade game. Dante is drawing on his family background, appearing as his father, the demon Sparda.

Thor is seen below wearing his classic outfit that was, oddly enough, not already included in the game. Captain America's costume is a little harder to pin down. If the shield design is any indication, it could be from when he was fighting in World War II, before the being frozen and revived in the present day and all that. Iron Man's new look just appears to be a patriotic design.

The costume pack is set to be available for purchase on March 1, 2011, for $5 dollars on PSN and 400 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live. The Shadow Mode DLC is due the same day. Shuma-Gorath and Jill Valentine are included in the Special Edition of Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but they will also be offered in a DLC pack for buyers of the regular edition of the game.

Would you be willing to buy extra costumes for the game? Should Capcom release more packs like this later on? If so, what would you like to see?
