During the Nintendo Direct conference at E3 2019, the Big N showcases a new Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order trailer and reveals post-launch details. This new trailer gave a small glimpse into the gameplay and reaffirmed the game's summer 2019 release date, but perhaps the biggest reveal was the new details concerning its expansion pass. This had previously been hinted at concerning the X-Men, but it seems as if it is more expansive than that.

The new Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order E3 2019 trailer shows a formidable glimpse of the Black Order all together and other villains such as Doctor Octopus, Mysterious, MODOK, and more. Gameplay glimpses from a variety of characters such as Ghost Rider, Elektra, and more are shown, with teams such as the Avengers, X-Men, and Guardians of the Galaxy getting some action as well. It also seems as if Thanos has assembled the Infinity Gauntlet, or at least a majority of the stones, by the end of the trailer.

The expansion pass for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 will see some Marvel Knights, X-Men, and Fantastic Four characters come to the game beginning in Fall 2019, though it doesn't reveal which characters exactly. Potential Marvel Knights characters include Daredevil's team of Dagger, Moon Knight, Shang-Chi, Luke Cage, and maybe even the Punisher.

As far as the X-Men are concerned, a couple of them are already set to appear in the game, so it's anyone's guess concerning DLC characters. The obvious Fantastic Four additions would be Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, the Torch, and the Thing, but its long comic runs provide a number of side characters and antagonists that could appear in the game. For those interested in launch characters, however, here is the full list of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 characters confirmed so far.

Hopefully, more details such as which Knights, X-Men, and Fantastic Four characters that are to be added exactly will be revealed in the coming weeks prior to the launch of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. And while this was a solid reveal from the Nintendo Direct at E3 2019, the biggest bombshell was the announcement of a Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order will release on July 19th, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
