Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3's final announced DLC pack, the "Shadow of Doom" expansion, is now available. The DLC adds five new playable characters to Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, including all four members of the Fantastic Four as well as their greatest enemy, Doctor Doom. However, the DLC also promised a secret sixth playable character, which has now been revealed.

The Shadow of Doom's sixth playable character is now confirmed to be Thanos (Infinite). As Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 players likely are already aware, Thanos is already playable in the game. The difference between the two Thanos characters is that the new version has him wielding the all-powerful Infinity Gauntlet.

In order to unlock Thanos (Infinite), Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 players have a challenge ahead of them. The new Shadow of Doom story mode has to be completed at the game's Ultimate difficulty. Once players defeat the DLC's final boss and scroll through the credits, Thanos (Infinite) will unlock and be playable.

Some Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 players may be initially disappointed in the news that a mirror character is the secret unlock. It's important to remember that Shadow of Doom is already delivering a great DLC. It has a solid story mode, five fighters instead of just the Fantastic Four, plus a bonus character. It's a ton of great content for expansion holders and a good way to end the game's DLC plans.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 is available now exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
