From famous names like Wolverine and Captain America to lesser-known characters such as Aero and Blink. There is sure to be a favorite deck lineup for all to enjoy. Gaining cards and upgrading their quality is addictive and there are a few ways players can obtain new cards for their collection.

Launch Rewards

Marvel Snap released on October 18th 2022, for the first week of the game's launch, players can take advantage of the Launch Rewards given out each day. For 7 days following the 18th of October, players can claim rewards such as energy and upgrade material each day.

However, players also received an Iron Man card variant on iOS or a Hulk variant on Android which are two of the most helpful cards to play. Despite having zero power of his own, Iron Man will double the energy of other heroes at any location and Hulk is one of the strongest cards in the starting line up.

The Tutorial

The first time players launch Marvel Snap they will be presented with a handy tutorial. This tutorial teaches players how to play the game, and build a deck and even gives tips on using card abilities such as Captain America, who has an ability that boosts cards levels next to him.

After clearing the tutorial mission each player is provided with a starting deck to begin their card-battling career. This basic deck is strong enough to see players through their first few ranks without having to build a new deck.

Collection Level

One of the most exciting elements of Marvel Snap is the ability to upgrade card qualities. Every card usually begins as an Uncommon card, these are the basic level cards and don’t have too much flair about them.

Winning matches and unlocking upgrade material will allow players to upgrade their cards, which will not only give them a snazzy new look, it will progress the Collection Level. Additionally getting to see characters like Weapon X himself aka Wolverine as a 3D animated card is pretty sweet. As the Collection Level goes through its ranks by players upgrading cards, rewards are given out for each stage. Every second reward level is a brand-new card to add to the team and boost deck power.

Ranked Rewards

Playing matches in Marvel Snap is not only for fun and bragging rights. The game has a rank system that begins at Recruit on level one and to Infinite rank for level 100. Each time a new rank is achieved a reward can be claimed. This is easier said than done, losing a match can bring players back down levels whilst winning will help them progress towards the next rank and hopefully unlock a new card as the claimable reward.

Play often to increase the chances of gaining better ranks

Season Pass

card game

Marvel Snap, like many free-to-play mobile titles, has in-app purchases. One of the purchases available is the season pass or battle pass as it is called here. The battle pass works like a standard season pass, working your way through missions to gain XP and move up levels. Doing just that will unlock all sorts of claimable rewards but best of all some are powerful cards and variants that will significantly boost any collection.

Shop For Variants

Being a mobile title of course means an in-game store. Marvel Snap is no different and the shop has in-app purchases like consumable energy to upgrade cards with and gold bars which are the in-game currency.

Additionally, the store also contains variant cards that are available for purchase. Costing 700 gold to obtain, the variant cards are certainly earnable by just playing the game but are quite pricey using real-world money. The variant cards look really cool, like the Starlord from Guardians of the Galaxy pixel variant, and will rotate with a fresh lineup entering the shop every day.

Marvel Snap is available now for iOS, Android and Steam.
