She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has finally hit Disney+ and follows lawyer Jennifer Walters as she handles a variety of superhero-related legal cases. She also got into a spot of bother when her blood got cross-contaminated with that of her cousin Bruce Banner. As a result, Jen gets super strong and super green but keeps her wits, unlike her cousin’s alter-ego.

She’s one of Marvel’s strongest women in both the comics and the MCU. However, she isn’t exactly Thanos or Galactus. There are a few characters that She-Hulk would have to break out her intellect to plan around instead of relying purely on her heft. Here are the ones that would give her a challenge.

8 Titania

Every hero has their nemesis. Superman, with all his optimism and hope, has to contend with the cynical, self-interested Lex Luthor. Super patriot Captain America traded blows with the super-Nazi Red Skull. Then She-Hulk has Titania. In the comics, Titania was Mary MacPherran, a weedy girl who wished she could get revenge on her bullies by getting superpowers.

After agreeing to help Dr. Doom during the Secret Wars event comic, her wish is granted through alien technology. She gains super strength with the stamina to match, being able to hold her own against Thor, Rogue, Wolverine, and She-Hulk in their first encounter. The Disney+ show re-imagines her as a social media influencer whose ability to irritate may be more powerful than her strength. Either way, she’s bound to be the proverbial itch She-Hulk can’t quite scratch.

7 Spider-Man

Spider-Man isn’t really seen as a strong character. Stronger than the average guy, yeah. Though he’s always been more about swinging, leaping, dipping, and webbing than throwing cars or toppling buildings. Yet he was the one that rescued She-Hulk and co from Titania in the villain’s debut. He was too quick for her, but also stronger than his frame suggests.

Despite this, he’s often underestimated by his fellow heroes. Maybe it’s because of his lither frame, his light-hearted nature, or his series of terrible decisions. But once he’s driven, he’s stronger than they think. Stronger than he thinks too. So, it would be interesting to see what would happen if he took on She-Hulk, even if he’s more likely to ask her for legal help than to a duel.

6 Angela

Angela is an odd one. She was originally an Image Comics’ character, a bounty hunter sent by Heaven to claim Spawn’s life. Then, as a result of a lawsuit between her creators Neil Gaiman and Todd McFarlane, she ended up sold to Marvel Comics and made part of their universe in the ‘Age of Ultron’ storyline.

She was now Aldrif Odinsdottir, the long-lost daughter of Odin and Freyja. She was presumed killed as an infant after a war with the tenth realm of ‘Heven’. Instead, her would-be killer couldn’t bring themselves to do the deed and raised her within Heven as an Angel. She has the strength and stamina to match the other Norse gods, with the immortality and flight of the Angels. So, She-Hulk would have to find some way to keep her pinned down to get ahead.

5 Namor

The Submariner is Marvel’s equivalent of Aquaman, though he doesn’t have the stigma of silliness DC’s ocean-based superhero has. This is despite the fact he looks like Mr. Spock in beachwear. Maybe it’s because he’s got an attitude and a half. The King of Atlantis has been regarded as one of the first antiheroes in comics, as he’s spent much of his 80+ year run as an antagonist as well as a protagonist.

Namor has worked alongside The Fantastic Four and the Avengers to take down bigger threats. Yet he’s also butted heads with them. Within the water, his swimming skills, electric abilities, and echolocation are unparalleled. However, he’s also a significant threat outside his ocean home. His water-control skills were enough to douse the original Human Torch, and his body was sturdy enough to withstand Magneto’s assault. As for his strength, he was able to beat down Luke Cage, then use his body as a club to knock out She-Hulk herself (“An excellent bludgeon!”). Not one of the Sensational one’s proudest moments.

4 America Chavez

She-Hulk’s fellow MCU Phase 4 debutante looks like an ordinary teenage girl in both the films and her original comics. But she’s anything but ordinary. She was raised in the Utopian Parallel, a region that exists beyond time, by her mothers. When they died saving the realm from destruction, she left and used her interdimensional powers to enter new realities and act as a superhero. Or this may be a cover story to cope with the death of her otherwise very human parents.

Regardless, she can travel through time and space, moving from one dimension to another. She can fly, and she’s nigh-on invulnerable to all but the strongest attacks. Plus, she’s strong enough to deal with Dr. Doom and Loki. Still, she is relatively young and inexperienced compared to the classic heroes, with She-Hulk and the Last Defenders having to save her from the Sixth Dimension. So, she has plenty of learning to do, and plenty of momentum as Marvel’s first Hispanic lesbian superhero to drive her forward.

3 Thor

Aldrif’s hammer-swinging brother isn’t exactly a light touch himself. He’s been part of Marvel’s classic canon since the 1960s, and part of many of their teams from the Avengers to the beautifully named God Squad. That’s not to mention he’s come out strong against many contenders, like the Hulk, Wolverine, and Thanos. Being the God of Thunder, Thor can command storms and lightning with his hammer Mjolnir. It enables him to fly, and travel to other dimensions.

Even without it, he can fight back with other weapons or his bare fists and endure assaults from entire armies. Though while he’s battle-smart, he’s not the most intellectual hero around. If She-Hulk had to confront the Odinson, she’d likely do best in a battle of brains than brawn. Or perhaps through the heart if they rekindle their old relationship.

2 Captain Marvel

That’s the Carol Danvers Captain Marvel. Though She-Hulk’s chances against Mar-Vell and DC’s Shazam would probably be just as low. Danvers originally got her powers when she was caught in an explosion trying to get close to Mar-Vell. She survived, but the energy from the blast mixed her DNA with that of the Kree, giving her superpowers. Thus, she became Ms. Marvel, a hero in her own right. Though she’s been around since the 1960s, it wasn’t until the past decade or so that Danvers got her due.

After 2005’s House of M teased her as the new Captain Marvel, she gained that title and her current look in 2012. On top of the usual super strength and durability, she can fly at Mach 6, predict events with her ‘seventh sense’, and fire radiant energy from her hands. She can also absorb other forms of energy like electricity to power up. Under her alter-ego Binary, she could also control the rest of the electromagnetic spectrum and gravity by tapping into ‘white hole’ energy. Needless to say, putting her up against She-Hulk is overkill.

1 The Incredible Hulk

Finally, the original Green Goliath is just pure strain gamma-irradiated strength. If local punk Rick Jones hadn’t sneaked his way onto a military test site, Dr. Bruce Banner would just be another faceless scientist. Instead, Banner made his way to help him out and got caught in the blast of his own Gamma Bomb. Since then, whenever Banner gets angry, upset, or otherwise stressed out, he’d become the Hulk: a mountain of muscle with a simple mind.

His brainpower’s gone up and down over the years. But his strength is nigh-on limitless, as he gets more powerful the more enraged he gets. He only turns back into Banner when he calms down, which usually requires a gentle approach from someone he trusts. Shame there are not a lot of people on that list. She-Hulk’s best chance against her male counterpart involves staying on his good side at all costs, which is easier said than done.
