Black Panther has finally arrived in theatres and the latest Marvel movie is getting rave reviews. But while some have said that the new film is groundbreaking and a major step forward for the movie industry, at least one person at Marvel would like to see Black Panther jump over to the video game industry as well.

Evan Narcisse, who is currently writing the Rise of the Black Panther series at Marvel, tweeted today that he would be on-board with a Black Panther video game. Narcisse told his 15,000 Twitter followers that those in charge "know where to find [him]" when they want to "get cracking" on a Black Panther game.

The tweet instantly garnered massive support from Black Panther fans and gamers alike, with even a few other games industry figures chiming in to say that they would love to work on a Black Panther game too. In particular, Andrien Gbinigie, a community manager for Assassin's Creed and a major Black Panther fan (Gbinigie has done Black Panther cosplay), voiced his support for such a tie-in.

It should be noted that Black Panther has actually starred in a couple of Marvel games already. Black Panther was added to Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite and he also stars in Marvel Future Fight, which is a mobile game that released in 2015. But the type of video game tie-in that fans are talking about would likely be a much larger affair and would be one that focused solely on Black Panther and Wakanda rather than including the character as one of many other Marvel-affiliated heroes.

Fans might be interested in something such as the Batman: Arkham series, which follows the Dark Knight as he protects the city of Gotham. Or, something such as Marvel's Spider-Man, which is the upcoming PS4 exclusive. These games allow players to get even closer to the action and even provide another chance for fans to learn about the comic book hero's world and their motivations, so it's no wonder why so many are eager for a Black Panther game to happen.

Unfortunately for Black Panther fans, the chances are slim that a video game spin-off will happy anytime soon. An Avengers game project is currently in the works at Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics and Marvel has also stated an interest in getting into virtual reality games, confirming that it has multiple VR games in development. A Black Panther game would be welcome in principal but if it is to happen, fans could be waiting quite some time to play it.
