Whether its Marvel's Spider-Man, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, or Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, it's clear that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has impacted pop culture in ways that never could have been imagined, changing the film industry forever, and creating an ever-increasing demand for Marvel properties in the video game space. When Square Enix first revealed that Crystal Dynamics would be developing the upcoming Marvel's Avengers, despite some fan backlash to early footage, the announcement was met with much enthusiasm across the industry and the more learned about Marvel's Avengers, the more reason there is for fans to be excited.

Originally due to release on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One in May 2020, Marvel's Avengers has been delayed until September to allow the developer additional time to fine-tune and polish the game. Now, alongside a brand new gameplay trailer, Crystal Dynamics has finally revealed what special editions that players can expect to choose from, as well as details about early access, beta access, and more. With all of that in mind, here's a complete guide to Marvel's Avengers pre-order bonuses and special editions.

Marvel's Avengers was met with significant controversy and skepticism following its first gameplay reveal at E3 2019, with many fans left wondering what the game actually was and whether it could match the high-bar set by Marvel's Spider-Man. Delaying it by five months to polish and fine-tune the experience, and refocusing the game's marketing around its live-service gameplay loop has done wonders in slowly changing the narrative for fans and the industry.

With E3 2020 fast approaching, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics would benefit it by going all out in the lead up to launch and give a detailed Marvel's Avengers gameplay demo that establishes the narrative, explores the gameplay loop, and shows fans why they need to play it. That said, the more we learn about Marvel's Avengers, the clearer it becomes that there is so much more to the game than originally thought.

Marvel's Avengers releases September 4, 2020, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
