With the release of Mario Strikers: Battle League only a little over two weeks away, Nintendo has been eager to dole out details about the long-awaited return of the popular Mario soccer franchise. Recent trailers have introduced many features of the game's customization system and special Hyper Strike moves, as well as introducing the online "Strikers Club" league alongside other game modes. Now, with Nintendo and retailers gearing up for the highly-anticipated launch, Walmart has revealed its bonus perks for players looking to pre-order the game.Mario Strikers: Battle League has already seen plenty of excitement from fans and critics alike leading up to its release next month. Battle League will mark the first entry in the franchise in just under 15 years since the release of Mario Strikers Charged in 2007, and the most recent in a revival of several Nintendo sports franchises like Mario Golf: Super Rush and last month's Nintendo Switch Sports. With the release of Battle League set for June 10, Walmart's website recently listed the game for pre-order with fans looking to grab the game early receiving a bonus decal sheet.RELATED: Mario Strikers: Battle League Gameplay Trailer Details The Game's Features, Modes, and MoreThe pre-order lists Mario Strikers: Battle League for the industry standard retail price of $59.99, with fans ordering the game early receiving an exclusive sheet of Mario Strikers-themed decals as a pre-order bonus. The stickers, made by popular gaming accessory maker Controller Gear, boast stylized depictions of several members of Battle League's roster set against fiery backdrops with Mario, Luigi, Peach, and more featured in their full armor.

The decals included feature nearly the entire ten-character roster of Mario Strikers: Battle League with only Wario, Waluigi, and Yoshi excluded from the preview of the sheet. While the return of the franchise doesn't appear to feature fan-favorite characters like Daisy, Nintendo has been no stranger to featuring other characters as DLC for its games, the most popular example being the Super Smash Bros. franchise. Mario Golf: Super Rush also previously saw several characters added after its July 2021 release with characters like Koopa Troopa and Shy Guy joining the game later in the year.

The return of Mario Strikers: Battle League alongside Nintendo's other sports revivals has not only revived the long-dormant franchise but has also seen many fans hoping to see a similar return to other Mario sports titles. The Mario Baseball franchise has seen a similarly long hiatus with its last game coming a year after the previously-mentioned Mario Strikers Charged in 2008 and some have even asked for the return of the one-off Mario Hoops basketball spinoff. Mario Strikers: Battle League will look to bolster an already strong line-up of Nintendo sports titles when it arrives next month.

Mario Strikers: Battle League will release on June 10 for Nintendo Switch.
