Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope is the long-awaited sequel to Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle and plays with the same turn-based mechanics. Players can create their team from nine playable characters that are a mix of both classic Mario characters and Rabbids. Once they choose their team, they'll embark on a journey to save the universe.

In Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, Bowser is an unlikely hero and on the side of Mario for once. He is a powerful ally who can be made even stronger by equipping the best Sparks. With so many Sparks to choose from and only having the option of equipping two, the player must choose wisely to make the most of their playthrough.

7 Regenesis

Regenesis Spark in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope

The Regenesis Spark offers the active skill, Regen. When activated, this skill will allow Bowser to regenerate 20% of his health at the beginning of his next two turns. The passive skill, Healing Booster, raises Bowser's HP by 15%. Using this Spark will help ensure that he survives the battles.

To unlock this Spark, players must finish the "Hide N' Squeak" sub quest. This quest is only available after the "Cold Mouth of the Mountain" main story quest is finished. This Spark is a valuable asset to have equipped if there are no healing items available for Bowser.

6 Toxiquake

Toxiquake Spark in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope

For players looking for a Spark that does some damage, Toxiquake is an excellent candidate. Its active skill is Shockwave Ooze, which deals damage in three shockwaves with the Super Ooze Effect. The passive skill, Ooze Protector, will reduce all Super Effect damage by 20% and make Bowser immune to the Super Ooze Effect.

During the main story quest, "Come Rain or Shine," players will complete a battle quest called "A Light in the Darkmess." After this quest, they will be rewarded with Toxiquake. This Spark offers an excellent way of attacking multiple enemies in one area without using Bowser's weapons.

5 Reflector

Reflector Spark in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope

Players can equip the Reflector Spark to add a layer of protection to Bowser. Its active skill is Reflect, which redirects 20% of the damage intended for Bowser back at his enemies. Athlete is the passive skill, increasing his move ability damage by 10%.

Players will unlock Reflector after completing the battle quest called "Headlong Into the Unknown." This quest is part of the main story quest, "An Overall Nice Day." Reflector is handy when fighting enemies that deal excessive damage, such as Lone Wolves.

4 Pyrogeddon

Pyrogeddon Spark in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope

The Pyrogeddon Spark gives Bowser access to the active skill Skyrain Burn, which rains meteors down on the enemies. These meteors have the Super Burn Effect and can cause severe burn damage. This Spark features the passive skill Burn Protector. Bowser will have a 20% increase in protection from all Super Effects and immunity to the Super Burn Effect.

Pyrogeddon is obtained after completing the battle quest called "A Cold Greeting," which is part of the main story quest, "The Winter Palace." Skyrain Burn is an effective skill as it destroys any covers targeted enemies hide behind, allowing for maximum damage.

3 Electrogeddon

The active skill for the Electrogeddon Spark is Skyrain Shock. With this skill activated, Bowser will rain down meteors with the Shock Super Effect on his enemies. The passive skill, Shock Protector, will increase Bowser's resistance to Super Effects by 20% while making him immune to the Shock Super Effect.

Electrogeddon is obtained after players complete the battle quest "Roots of Corruption." This battle quest is part of the main story quest called "Off-Color." This Spark helps target and damage multiple enemies hiding behind covers, as it will also destroy the covers.

2 Cryogeddon

Cryogeddon Spark in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope

Equipping Bowser with Cryogeddon will allow him to use the active skill Skyrain Frostbite. This skill will cause damage to his enemies with meteors that have the Frostbite Super Effect. The passive skill, Frostbite Protector, will boost Bowser's protection from Super Effects by 20% and make him immune to the Frostbite Super Effect.

Once players complete the "Uncork the Volcano" main story quest, a Secret Zone appears. They will then have to purchase the Efflorescent Key from the Salesbot to access this area. After completing the Secret Zone, they will obtain Cryogeddon. This Spark will allow for attacking multiple enemies hidden behind covers, as it can also destroy the covers.

1 Gargantu-Fan

Gargantu-Fan next to a Magikoopa in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope

For epic damage to his foes, Bowser needs the Gargantu-Fan Spark equipped. Its active skill is Kong Cameo, in which Rabbid Kong will create a massive wave that travels in all directions, dealing severe damage to all foes in its path. All enemies will be sent bouncing when struck. This Spark's passive skill is Healing Booster, which will increase Bowser's max HP by 15%.

When players reach the Barrendale Mesa, they will begin the main story quest "It's an Ill Wind That Blows." During this quest, they will complete the battle quest, "Magikoopa Mayhem," which will give them Gargantu-Fan. This Spark is an excellent option for clearing enemies away from Bowser's immediate vicinity.
