While the two may not be immediate candidates for a crossover, a fan of Super Mario and The Mandalorian has created an impressive piece of artwork featuring the two. The result is a fairly stunning concept, which fits together surprisingly well despite the differences between the two.

The image, uploaded to Twitter by Mauricio Abril, features a red and blue version of the Mandalorian from the Disney+ series as he escorts Baby Yoshi through the desert. The image also shows three Shy Guys, which seem to represent Jawas, fighting over one of Yoshi's eggs. It's fairly strange seeing everything mashed together, but the two art styles blend together fairly well, all things considered.

The Mandalorian proved to be a successful endeavor for Disney, though many did criticize the middle portion of Season 1. Season 2 of The Mandalorian has finished shooting, though there's still the potential for delays due to the coronavirus. While that would certainly be disappointing, it may be difficult to avoid.

The Super Mario franchise has also caused a bit of a stir lately, as rumors that Nintendo may be remastering Super Mario games for the Switch have been circulating online. Hopefully, that will come to fruition, but at least fans have this art to admire if it isn't.

The Mandalorian is available now on Disney+.
