It would appear that 3DS owners will have the opportunity to travel to Beanbean Kingdom in the near future, according to some information recently datamined from the Nintendo 3DS eShop. It sounds as if Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga is primed for a rerelease on the console following a report by infamous Pokemon dataminer SciresM, whom recently pulled files on both Ever Oasis and the aforementioned rerelease.

The unannounced game is said to currently be listed as Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga DX, which could indicate a director's cut of sorts for the fan-favorite entry in the ever-growing Mario & Luigi series. Since SciresM doesn't have any more details on the listing outside of a sequence of numbers and its name, this potential product is certainly open for speculation amongst those hoping to see the Game Boy Advance title make its return.

Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime only just recently confirmed that the company plans on announcing new games for the Nintendo 3DS at E3 2017, which would be the ideal stage for this supposed Mario & Luigi rerelease to rear its head. Whether or not it will be a slightly revised port or a complete remaster remains to be seen – provided that these datamine results are indeed the real McCoy – but it's currently impossible to tell with the available information.

With a number of games, such as the rumored Mario and Rabbids crossover for Nintendo Switch, lined up for an E3 2017 reveal, it's looking more and more like the Big N is setting itself up for a big showing. Although the company has expressed a desire to hold a few cards close to its chest for a time outside of the industry-wide showcase, a listing on the eShop this early would indicate that the firm plans on showing off Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga sooner rather than later.
