When playing the Speed and Battle Golf modes, coins will appear directly on the track or when players are hit by opponents and stage hazards. These can be used to fill up the character's power meter to unleash their special shot, which gives the playable character an extreme boost in power.
Gold Coins are used as currency for purchasing better equipment and other items when playing the Golf Adventure mode. The main way to earn coins in Adventure mode is by completing the game's mission and optional side quests. Simply search out the NPCs with the blue exclamation mark and finish their request, which usually results in players practicing one of the core game mechanics.
