The Mario world is one that would intersect very well with the Pokémon world. It just makes sense. They're both very colorful worlds filled with gigantic monsters that can be captured in a ball and held prisoner. Okay, well they share some similarities. Anyway, we thought that was the perfect excuse to take a look at ten Mario characters to see what their perfect partner Pokémon would be. Let's get right into it with the star of this list.

10 Mario: Rotom Wash

The only real qualifications for Mario's partner Pokémon is being red and a water-type, and Rotom Wash fulfills both of those roles easily. Rotom Wash is literally a washing machine, and thus, can probably help Mario with his duties as a plumber, and they would match. This would make the duo an instant power couple of the Mushroom Kingdom, and would allow them to easily make a monopoly out of the plumbing business. Rotom Wash practically feels like he was made for Mario. This duo is almost too powerful.

9 Luigi: Sobble

Sobble is a big sad water boi, and as such, he is Luigi's perfect match for a partner Pokémon. Just as Mario does, Luigi needs a water Pokémon. They're both plumbers, after all. And, Sobble matches Luigi's timid personality very well. Now, when Sobble eventually evolved into the sniper-wielding Inteleon, things might change just a bit. But, as a pre-evolved Pokémon, Sobble fits perfectly to be Luigi's partner-in-crime. Wouldn't it be great to have a Pokémon with you to cry at any given moment? What a duo.

8 Peach: Milotic

The 5 Best Video Game Princesses - Princess Peach Umbrella Super Smash Bros.

There are a lot of different options for who could be Princess Peach's partner. They have to fit a few qualities, though. They need to be beautiful, cute, powerful and pink, all at the same time. Luckily, there are many different Pokémon that fit this bill.

However, Milotic is the one that embodies all of these traits the most. The elegant Pokémon is stunning, and has the power to back up the looks. Along with that, Milotic is a water-type, allowing it to fit in with Mario and Luigi's partners. Milotic and Peach would sync up effortlessly.

7 Yoshi: Aurorus

Aurorus Anime in the snow

Aurorus and Yoshi are two peas in a pod, probably. Aurorus is pretty similar to Yoshi, as it fits that dinosaur theme pretty nicely. This might actually cause problems later on, as Aurorus is a lot larger than Yoshi and might want to take control, but we'll come back to that or something.

Aurorus though, just seems like it's a pretty fun Pokémon that would love Yoshi, and would love to be partners with him. Is it a horrible Pokémon due to its typing? Sure. Should you never use it? Yeah, probably. This changes nothing though. Yoshi is a wonderful man who can team up with anyone that he needs to.

6 Wario: Meowth

Choosing the perfect partner for Wario was somewhat difficult, until it all made sense, Meowth. Meowth is the perfect partner for Wario. Wario is completely obsessed with money, and that is something that Meowth can help with. Using Pay Day, Meowth is able to essentially generate money. Well, that's pretty nice, huh? We could all use a Meowth in our lives. Either way, Wario would be able to lounge about all day with his Meowth, as he'd never need to work for his money again.

5 Waluigi: Bewear

When it comes to Waluigi, doesn't he just fit with Bewear? This lanky, messy man deserves Bewear, even if Bewear deserves better.

Team Rocket and Waluigi give off very similar vibes when you actually put some thought into it, which no one should ever put thought into at all, but... ya know. They seem like a duo that could actually really get something done if they really dug into it. They probably wouldn't, though. Waluigi hasn't even made his way into a main-series game yet you know he's putting no effort in whatsoever.

4 Rosalina: Cresselia

Spacewoman deserves space... duck(?) and that is that on that. Cresselia is a very moon-based Pokémon, and Rosalina is literally from space. The two were practically made for each other. Once they link up they can go around and complete space missions together, heal children and their bad dreams, you know, stuff like those two very similar activities that are very similar. Yeah maybe they don't have the same interests but they'll be fine.

3 Daisy: Darmanitan

Daisy needs something loud and explosive to fit her monstrous personality. And firey. Very firey. Darmanitan is the one for her. Look at those eyes, the teeth, the everything. He's practically made to accompany Daisy to her various poor choices. The only time that he doesn't resemble Daisy is when he is in his Zen Mode, which is literally her antithesis. He can probably only do this when the two are sleeping, which is something Daisy only does for 2 hours every third day. Darmanitan is Daisy's partner Pokémon whether he wants to be or not.

2 Bowser: Magmortar

Bowser needs some sort of Pokémon that can spew fire at a rapid rate, someone that can help him commit his war crimes against the Mushroom Kingdom. There is no one quite as fit for the job as Magmortar. This Generation IV Pokémon literally has a fire cannon at the end of his arm, he'll get things done. He's also impossibly large, so he'll really fit in pretty well with Bowser and his crew.

1 Bowser Jr.: Magby

If Bowser is going to be partnering up with Magmortar, then it only makes sense that Bowser Jr. pairs up with Magby, also known as babey. Magby is the basic stage of the line, evolving into Magmar and later Magmortar. Since Bowser Jr. is the son of Bowser, he can easily have the son of Magmortar too. It all stays in the family. Magby is the perfect size to help commit smaller, yet still impactful, war crimes with Bowser Jr. by themselves while their parents are off doing more important things.
