Following the Super Mario Bros. Movie trailer that was shared as part of a Nintendo Direct, one Mario fan has made a diorama based on the scene starring Bowser. This fan seems to be one of many who loved the part of the trailer showcasing the villain storming a castle while also showing off Jack Black's voice for the character.

The creator of the diorama, a YouTube creator, was specifically inspired by the part of the movie preview where Bowser uses his fire breath to burn down the castle while standing a fair distance away. The fan thought the fire was perfect for LED light strings he regularly uses on his projects.

The YouTuber runs a channel named Boylei Hobby Time and with the inspiration in mind, went straight to work on a diorama that used the light strings as Bowser's huge flamethrower that tears up the Mario 64 penguins' castle. Since his channel deals with his crafts, he posts step-by-step videos of each and every project, narrating them and using particular editing techniques to make it a short yet entertaining watch for the viewer. Naturally, this means fans can watch Boylei make the Bowser diorama in a simplified yet educational manner before seeing the final lit up product at the end.

The video and diorama seem to be a hit with plenty of fans as the video currently sits at 19k likes on YouTube. Viewers in the comments are discussing how the movie trailer does a great job at making Bowser seem like an intimidating villain after years of his more comedic character being in the spotlight.

Boylei's video also pokes fun at the situation over Chris Pratt playing Mario in the Super Mario movie, by saying he "didn't like" the second part of the trailer too much before joking that it's because Illumination didn't like his audition. This is followed with clip of said "audition," having his deadpan voice play over the plumber's lines.

If fans enjoy Boylei's work on the Bowser diorama, then they may enjoy other videos and projects of his as well. Boylei is also a fan of Lord of the Rings, and has also made a similar diorama of the iconic scene of Gandalf fighting the Balrog. It's clear that a lot of detail goes into his work, and from what else he's said in the video starring Mario's nemesis, there's a chance he may do more Nintendo-related projects in the future.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie will hit theaters on April 7, 2023.
