Pokemon fans can make their fantasies of owning one of the creatures come true thanks to a new two-foot tall Mareep plushie that matches the actual size of the creature in the game.

According to the Pokedex in the game, Mareep, an electric-type Pokemon, stands at two feet tall and nearly four feet long. Mareep has been around since the late 90s, when it was introduced in Pokemon Gold and Silver. Now, fans of the little sheep Pokémon can own a small dog-sized plush of the character. Luckily, the little guy looks a lot happier than the recent Detective Pikachu plush.

The official Pokemon Twitter account showed off the plush in a tweet today, and has made pre-orders available on their site.

Mareep will begin shipping in January of 2020, but eager Pokemon lovers will have until September 1st to pre-order. Hopefully this will give fans of the woolly Pokemon enough time to save up. And they will have to save up a lot, as the giant Mareep plush retails for $500. While that shouldn’t be a problem for last weekend’s Fortnite World Cup champion, it’s probably a bit steep for most fans.

The Pokemon Center describes the plush as having a "supersoft woolly, fluffy texture" which will make it very comfortable to sleep beside. In the photo, you can see the woolly texture, which looks very sheep-like.

The self-aware listing on the site seems to understand the ridiculousness of such a large plush toy. The description has recommendations of where to store the giant Pokemon, suggesting that fans might put it "under a glass tabletop" or "near a rocking chair." Fans who want Mareep at the center of their decor could probably also use it as an ottoman.

For now, the plush is only available in the US with no word of it coming to other countries. Unfortunately for fans, while the plush matches the life-sized dimensions of the Pokemon, it doesn’t appear it will match the creature’s weight of 17.2 lbs.
