The Xbox Game Pass system already has a large selection of games to choose from, but more are set to be added to the subscription service. An additional eight games will be added during March, which will be playable by all Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

The games Microsoft will be adding on March 1st include the previously-announced Rise of the Tomb Raider, as well as Euro Fishing, Oxenfree, Resident Evil: Revelations 2, Sonic CD, Super Lucky’s Tale, and The Final Station. If that isn't enough to keep Xbox gamers busy, all of Microsoft's first-party games will be added to the Xbox Game Pass subscription service starting on their release date going forward. This includes Xbox Game Pass's eighth game for the month, Sea of Thieves, which will be added on March 20th.

Xbox Game Pass first party games release

Gamers can access all of the titles that the Xbox Game Pass has to offer with a monthly subscription fee of $9.99. Alternatively, Microsoft will be offering 6-month subscriptions for $59.99. While paying a subscription fee is already necessary in order to play games online, the Xbox Game Pass subscription service has nonetheless enticed many players. Between the new releases, a large collection of older titles, and the ability to download the game to the player's console rather than having to stream it, there's a lot for players to like about the subscription service.

On the other hand, some game retailers haven't been big fans of the service. One retailer went so far as to pull Xbox One consoles from its shelves in protest. Stockholders of game stores have taken issue with the subscription service from the get-go, as was evidenced by GameStop's stock plummeting 8.5%, even before Microsoft added new releases to the service. With quite a few first-party releases coming along this year from Microsoft, however, it's likely that more gamers will be joining the service over the course of 2018.
