3D Character Artist/ Digital Sculptor Ian Robinson posted an image on ArtStation of a 6-inch tall sculpture he made depicting The Mandalorian's Baby Yoda as a dark lord of the Sith. Titled "Darth Grogu," Robinson's sculpture is based on the original fan art by lead concept artist at Gearbox Software, Max Davenport.

It's difficult to imagine such a dark turn for the adorable, tea-sipping, Baby Jedi, but little Grogu has seen his fair share of death and destruction. He was around when the Jedi were nearly wiped out as a result of order 66, so who knows, maybe he's got a revenge streak. We all have a dark side after all. He's also been hanging out with some pretty violent types for the last two seasons of the Mandalorian.

The last season of The Mandalorian gave us much more insight into Grogu's past. First, we learned that he indeed has a name, so fans finally have something to call him other than "Baby Yoda". We also learned that little Grogu (who's actually 50 years old) was raised at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and was present during The Great Jedi Purge depicted in Revenge of the Sith. After Grogu connects with ex-Jedi and fellow purge survivor Ashoka Tano, it's also revealed that he was safely smuggled out of the temple by someone who's identity remains unknown.

One of the biggest questions brought up by fans after season two was about Grogu's fate by the time of the Sequel trilogy. The Mandalorian season 2 finale saw Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker take Grogu away to be trained as a part of his new Jedi Order. However, as we saw in flashbacks in both the Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, Luke Skywalker's attempt to start a new Jedi Order doesn't go so well. Most of his students were killed by his disgruntled nephew Ben Solo, AKA Kylo Ren, after a momentary lapse in judgment saw Luke consider striking the boy down out of fear that he was going to turn to the dark side.

So, was Grogu there? Did he survive? Maybe he'll join up with the Knights of Ren and lead them in Kylo Ren's absence. Who knows, maybe if Palpatine had picked Grogu as his new apprentice, he wouldn't have ended up getting killed... twice.

You can watch both seasons of The Mandalorian currently streaming on Disney Plus.
