On April 17, a Nashville, Tennessee man named Joshua Stone got into an argument with an unidentified woman while he was playing video games. As the argument heated up, the woman unplugged Stone's PlayStation console. Stone responded by body slamming the woman. Stone has since been arrested and charged with domestic assault, while the woman has been treated for head injuries.

The severity of the woman's injuries hasn't been revealed to the public, and neither has her name nor her relationship to Stone. It's also unclear what the two were arguing about at the time of the incident and which PlayStation Stone was gaming on when it was unplugged. We also don't know if additional charges will be brought against Stone, and when Stone will go to court for the incident.

Unfortunately, this is far from the first report where someone reacted violently to their game console being turned off or unplugged. Jimmy Kimmel once challenged parents to record themselves turning off Fortnite while their kids were in the middle of a game. While some of the kids were just shocked or amused by the Jimmy Kimmel Fortnite prank, others lashed out at their parents.

In more extreme instances, some individuals have reacted violently to having their games taken away from them. For example, there was one report from a doctor in Boston about a child who destroyed the family car after his parents took away his Fortnite privileges.

However, the latter was due to Fortnite addiction, whereas this situation with Stone seems to be a bit different. Based on the limited information we have, there is no indication that Stone has gaming addiction or a similar disorder, but instead just reacted violently to punish the victim for turning off his console. Again, there is a lot we don't know about what happened, but hopefully answers come to light in court.

Hopefully Stone's victim is able to fully recover, and Stone is able to avoid body slamming people when they do something to annoy him.
