Yesterday, Wizards of the Coast released an almost-complete card list for the enigmatic Magic: The Gathering product known as Mystery Boosters. This Mystery Booster card list revealed that the "set" is comprised of 1,694 reprints from across Magic's history, and there are indeed some very valuable cards to be found in the product. For players that may be curious about the most expensive of these cards, providing a list is the exact purpose of this article.

To note, the retail version of the Magic: The Gathering Mystery Boosters will have a special foil card in each pack, but Wizards has not yet provided a full list of these foils. As such, they will not be reflected in this list of the most expensive Mystery Booster cards, which is instead solely focused on the standard reprints included in the "set."

These values have been pulled directly from the popular online storefront TCGPlayer, and they are thus quite an accurate representation of where these cards sit in the market at this time. While it is certainly possible that players will find less expensive outlets for these valuable MTG cards, many fans use TCGPlayer frequently to purchase cards for their decks, and that is why it has been employed to construct this list.

Additionally, it is worth mentioning that these prices are likely to fluctuate when players get their hands on retail MTG Mystery Boosters. This is a phenomenon that frequently occurs when Wizards of the Coast releases a reprint-heavy set, and it would not be surprising to see it happen again here. That said, the most valuable cards in the set are likely to remain as such, even if their prices dip as more Mystery Booster packs are opened.

With respect to when players will be able to open Mystery Boosters, the release date for the retail version is scheduled for March 13, 2020. Until then, though, fans that attend select MagicFests will have the opportunity to crack the Convention Edition of the Mystery Boosters, which contain the same reprints as the retail release. As such, players that are headed to an upcoming MagicFest, to participate in a Mythic Championship or otherwise, should keep their eyes peeled for the cards featured on this list.
