Mafia is back with a Definitive Edition that has upgraded the first in the three-part game series. Released in September 2020, Mafia Definitive Edition features a massive graphics overhaul, a brand new ballet-inspired soundtrack, and the addition of a Free Ride Mode. In Free Ride mode, players can explore the world freely, get into trouble, and even change into different outfits.

Salieri's Bar

In Mafia, Salieri's Bar is a front for the daily operations of the Salieri Crime Family. It's located in Mafia's visually upgraded city, in Little Italy, east of the shopping center. This is kind of a home base in Mafia, giving the player a safe place to head back to and pick up new missions. The bar is also a great place for the players to change into outfits they earn while out and about in the city of Little Heaven.

How to Change Clothing

Players must be in Free Ride mode to change clothing. In order to choose this mode, get to the Title Screen, then select "Free Ride Mode" from there. Players always spawn at Salieri's Bar in Little Italy, which means they won't have to explore far in Mafia's Lost Heaven city to change into some brand new threads.

Head upstairs inside the bar and look for a white icon on the mini-map. Interact with the closet there, and players will have the opportunity to change their clothing before taking to the mean streets of Mafia. There will be a scrolling menu for players to look through all of the outfits. Choose one with the action button.

What Outfits Are Available

During the roughly 15 hours of play-time Mafia offers, players can unlock a variety of outfits to looking dashing in around town. There are a variety of looks that can be unlocked, from Cabbie to Criminal With Fedora. Most of these offer a sweet, 1930's mob chic look for riding, stealing, and killing around town.

Costumes are unlocked by completing missions, linking a 2K account to the game, story progress, Phone Booth challenges, and finding hidden ones out in the world. Also, there were some pre-order bonus outfits, including The Don. There's even a cowboy outfit hidden by the silo directly east of Old Ford Bridge north of the city. Reviews of Mafia have been mostly positive, perhaps thanks, in part, to the fact that players can Free Ride through in a variety of outfits.

Mafia Definitive Edition is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
