The psychological first-person horror game MADiSON contains a lot of elements designed to get inside the player's mind and unnerve them. The intense setting houses multiple monsters that attempt to attack the player, but certain hints are provided early on before players even witness them.

One of the monsters in MADiSON is referred to as Blue Knees, who appears towards the late game (outside a few brief jumpscares.) However, there is one easily-missable trophy/achievement that hints at Blue Knees' presence.

Blue Knees Explained

Blue Eyes

Blue Knees was revealed in one of MADiSON's gameplay trailers, designated as one of the game's enemies with a sinister presence to target the player. Now that the game has finally been released, players will get to experience the true horror surrounding the psychological horror elements. Blue Knees doesn't appear much in MADiSON early on, but it earns its screen time through the use of subtle music and jumpscares to sell the horror.

Along with Blue Knees, other monsters can assault the player in unexpected ways. Another flesh-like creature taunts Luca around the house and in the hidden locations elsewhere, all to try and break his sanity. Ultimately, whether Luca survives the night or not is up to him.

How to Find the Blue Knees Clue

MADiSON_20220709211535

Early in the game, Luca finds his way into his grandfather's house and tries to explore the building. The power suddenly goes out and Luca has to kickstart the generator in the basement, at which point he has limited free roam of the house. Some rooms aren't available for exploration, but one room hides the small desired secret.

Inside the bathroom, which is accessible in two ways close to the basement stairs, a mirror is visible on the wall.

As seen above, interacting with the mirror and then rotating it 180 degrees will reveal a hidden message on the back, which reads "BLUE KNEES IS REAL." Once done successfully, the trophy/achievement will pop.

After finding this clue, players will find more of the house to explore. MADiSON's next puzzles are somewhat fiendish, but more guides are available to point players in the right direction if they get stuck.

MADiSON is available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
