EA has continued to add new content to Madden 21 Ultimate Team since the game's release, despite some concern over the game's future. The Ghosts of Madden cards were released from late December into January, giving MUT players something to look forward to. A few of the Ghosts cards are still viable in competitive matches because of how impressive their base card stats are.

Out of the 32 player cards released, there are ten that gamers can consider using in their team. Unfortunately, no offensive linemen made it on this list. The cards were reviewed taking into consideration their overall impact and value for coins. Below are the top ten Ghosts of Madden cards, ranked from worst to best.

10 Daniel Jones

Daniel Jones MUT 21 (1)

With maxed-out play, fake, and maxed-out sprinter, Daniel Jones performs like a hall of famer in-game. However, Danny Dimes is expensive compared to other elite options. With 90+ speed stats, he will be able to get out of the pocket and make first downs with his legs. The card's carrying and on-the-ball stats are horrible, so players need to be careful letting him take hits. As a passer, Daniel Jones has all of the important stats in the 90s or above. The card is impressive, especially for players that have a Giants theme team.

9 Junior Seau

Junior Seau MUT 21 (1)

The Samoan Field General was truly a legend in the sport, playing for thirteen seasons. The card reflects the warrior that Seau was on the field. With 90 speed, 91 acceleration, and every run defense stat at 96, Seau is one of the top linebackers in the game.

The card is good in zone, but not very effective in man coverage. Players will want to use Seau in run defense and pass rush to utilize his strengths.

8 Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes MUT 21 (1)

Mahomes' Ghosts of Madden card is still one of the best quarterbacks in the game. With an improved release and gunslinger, players will be able to hit any throw on the field. The card has good speed at 84 and incredible accuracy on the run. Gamers will not be disappointed with this card.

7 J.J. Watt

JJ watt MUT 21 (1)

Watt may not have the speed of an elite rusher, but he can power through any block. The card will dominate both in the run and pass game against the best linemen in Madden. Watt is like an immovable force in the middle of the defense, eliminating runs through the A and B gaps almost every single play. If the card had 90 speed, it would be the best in the game.

6 Jerry Rice

Jerry Rice MUT 21 (1)

Players will want to have full play fake and full sprinter to optimize the card. With the upgrades, the card will have 99 catching in all categories with 96 sprint speed and 97 acceleration. While Jerry Rice is not the fastest receiver, his route running is impeccable. Gamers can play him at either slot or wide receiver. Only a handful of defensive backs will be able to slow him down in-game. As long as players do not sabotage themselves, Rice will lead them to victories.

5 Tony Gonzalez

Tony Gonzales MUT 21 (1)

Tony Gonzalez's ghost card is ridiculous. At 6'5", Gonzales has a base speed of 91, with 92 acceleration. Each of his receiving stats are 93 and above except for deep route running. Gonzales will outpace, outclass, and out-jump pretty much any defender in the game.

The card has good after-the-catch stats as well but does not quite reach the 90 juke threshold.  The only downside to the Ghosts of Madden Gonzales card is his run blocking. Gamers will only want to use him in the slot or in pass-heavy sets.

4 Rod Woodson

Rod Woodson MUT 21 (1)

Woodson has seemingly no downsides for a cornerback. The card is fast with all coverage stats above 93. It will be rare, but Woodson can miss a few tackles with only 79 tackling. In pass defense, Woodson is up there with the best cards in the game up to this point. His aggressive trait will ensure that gamers have plenty of opportunities for interceptions.

3 Isaiah Simmons

Isaiah Simmons MUT 21 (1)

Simmons is better than the Sean Taylor "the 50" card. The card has 95 speed, 95 tackling, 94 man coverage, and 99 zone coverage. At 6'4", Simmons is taller than Taylor as well. At the moment, Simmons is an S-tier safety that any player would want on their team. The card's only weaknesses are after an interception, as Simmons' ball-carrying stats are subpar.

2 Bo Jackson

Bo Jackson Muthead (1)

Another Madden, another overpowered Bo Jackson card. Gamers will be able to run the ball all over the field with 96 acceleration, 94 agility, and jukes above the 90 threshold. Jackson is strong and can truck linemen with 95 trucking and 88 strength. The only reason this card is not at the bottom of the list is its terrible receiving stats. Because the card is one-dimensional, Kamara is the best Ghosts of Madden card.

1 Alvin Kamara

Alvin Kamara MUT 21

A few months ago, this card was the best in the game. Since, EA have released a few new cards that edge out the Ghosts of Madden Kamara. What makes the card so incredible is the short and intermediate receiving stats. Kamara has the speed and jukes to be a bell-cow back, and he can run any slot receiver route to perfection. In a game that gives running backs favorable matchups against linebackers, players will want to have Kamara on their team.
