The release of Madden NFL 20 is quickly approaching, and many players have been wondering what the ratings of the players to be featured in the game are. Now, those figures have been released on EA Sports' Madden website for all tentative Madden NFL 20 buyers to read up on.

Leading up to the release of Madden games, player ratings are a relatively important discussion for their relevance to the sport on which the popular game franchise is based. While no player has received Madden NFL 11's perfect 100 rating for Randy Moss, there are a number of players who have received impressively high ratings.

For example, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has come in second for a quarterback's player rating. At a rating of 96 in Madden NFL 20, Brady has previously helped lead the Patriots to multiple Super Bowl victories. Also, Brady has been on the cover of previous Madden titles, including Madden NFL 18.

Meanwhile, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes came in as the quarterback with the highest rating of 97. This makes sense, as Mahomes is the cover athlete and the reigning MVP of the league. Stats and 2018 accomplishments notwithstanding, it's still a bit surprising to see Mahomes rated higher than some of the other QBs in the game.

Overall, the player with the highest rating in Madden NFL 20 is Rams Right End Aaron Donald, who has an overall 99 rating and a Strength Rating of 99. He is closely followed by Texans Wide Receiver Deandre Hopkins, Bears Left Outside Linebacker Khalil Mack, and Seahawks Middle Linebacker Bobby Wagner. These are a diverse group of players, showing that far more goes into player ratings than the position of the player, even if that is more important.

Madden NFL often comes across as a game for limited audiences. However, EA does treat those audiences with respect and attempts to update the Madden games year after year in light of changing technology and an always-transforming NFL landscape. Madden is a franchise beloved by many fans, as is evidenced by EA Sports' dedicated handling of the franchise.

Madden NFL 20 will release August 2, 2019 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
