Madden NFL 21 has been no stranger to bugs and glitches. Madden 21 released with disappointing reviews, making it the worst-rated game rated by users on Metacritic. Madden 21 had minimal changes since the previous year's title, leading fans to display their disappointment on social media with hashtags such as "NFLdropEA" and "FixMaddenFranchise." Now nearly six months after Madden 21's release, fans are still finding glitches, although, more funny and entertaining rather than game-breaking.

The Yard is a new addition to Madden this year, allowing fans to customize a created player to participate in backyard-style football games. The Yard also features amusing clothing options for the created player including crazy clothing patterns and even SpongeBob-themed cosmetics. It seems the latest glitch takes inspiration from the The Yard cosmetics and puts it into a strange spot in Madden 21's Franchise Mode.

Although the latest Madden 21 update is intended to improve Franchise Mode with better trade logic and historical context for the league, it seems the update also brings a hilarious glitch to the mode as well. One fan has shared the main screen of Franchise Mode, which normally depicts the head coach making calls and doing work at their desk, however, it seems the coach has been given a very interesting texture.

The coach can be seen with rainbow skin, with what looks like the word "YOLO" written across his face. The texture seems crazy enough for The Yard game mode, but could possibly be an unintended placeholder for skin textures that may have slipped through. The latest Madden 21 update is said to be the last Franchise Mode update, however, developers may want to patch the skin texture even though fans may get a laugh from the glitch.

Although Madden 21 has gone through many updates amending the bugs and glitches riddling the game, the hilarious glitches seem to keep coming. EA may be leaving Madden 21 improvements behind as it looks for ways to ensure a better release for Madden 22 later in the year. Rumors have already been circulating regarding features for Madden 22.

Madden 22 may be in danger of being another Madden title that fails to innovate much from previous years. Although Madden 21 introduced The Yard, and Madden 20 featured the new Face of the Franchise Mode, the gameplay mechanics not being improved much makes the new modes not feel as fresh or entertaining. However, more positive rumors about the game have also been spreading, like the potential cover star for the Madden 22, although EA has not officially revealed the title or cover star yet.

Madden NFL 21 is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
