The most satisfying part of playing Luigi's Mansion 3 is capturing the ghosts that Luigi encounters along the way. In the main mode of the game, players will discover boss ghosts that fit the theme of the area they are in. But they will also encounter a rotation of average ghosts as well.

But while catching these normal ghosts can be fun on their own, one thing most players miss out on is attempting to capture rare ghosts. These variations of the normal enemies appear in Luigi's Mansion 3's ScareScraper mode and have an extra layer of difficulty when it comes to fighting them.

3 What Is ScareScraper?

ScareScraper is a multiplayer mode for Luigi's Mansion that was first introduced to the series in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. It can be accessed from the game's main menu. The goal of the game is to conquer a specific task that is presented to the players on a floor. Before each game, players can choose how many floors they want to conquer.

Objectives range from capturing ghosts to rescuing Toads. While playing, players should keep an eye out for any upgrades to their weapons and abilities, including a suction upgrade and dark-light glasses that help players see invisible ghosts or items.

Be wary while playing, though as there are a ton of potential hidden traps that could put a stop to potential progress. Most of these include fake-outs, like fake doors and chests. Other times, there will be a blackout or each player's Poltergust will be teleported to a different area of the room and they must retrieve it.

2 Where Are The Rare Ghosts?

Among the many tasks, the players could face a mission called "Capture The Ghosts (Rare)." This task will only be available if players choose to play on ten floors or higher. The first thing players must do is work together to find a key.

This will unlock a door that will eventually release the ghosts. Essentially, players will have to get themselves and their Gooigis all on top of the circle panel in the middle of the room. This will unlock the rare ghosts and they will begin to come out in droves. Players must capture all the rare ghosts before time runs out.
